I love Citizen watches. This is my 3rd. I wanted a new casual everyday watch and have been browsing various watched on Amazon. This was one of the the watches I was considering. This size is perfect for my 6-1/2 inch wrist. I like the deep blue dial color. The date is very small and a little hard to read, but not that big a deal for me.It came up on sale and the price was right. One of the buying options was like a new, never worn open box from Amazon Warehouse. I could not pass up that price. The shipment came and it looked like someone either ordered the wrong watch or looked at it and returned it. Watch is is perfect unused condition.The band is of good quality leather and comfortable. Highly reccommended.

I needed a larger dial watch since my eyesight isn't what it used to be. I didn't want an automatic watch because I don't wear a watch daily and didn't want to have to reset it every time I go to wear it. This watch arrived without instructions but I located them online easily. Setting up the date and time was simple and the watch was partially charged when I got it. I've had it for over a week and it's keeping perfect time. It is very light weight for a relatively large dial. The band is high quality and very comfortable. The hands are luminous and easily seen in the dark. (The numbers are not luminous) The dial is very very dark green, almost black. If the date function is important to you, you won't want this watch. The date window is very small and hard to read. When I'm not wearing it I leave it on a windowsill during the day or under a lamp in the evening and it remains charged and ready to go. It's a very attractive watch and gets a lot of compliments. High quality at a reasonable price.

Great looking watch. Easy to read dial. Easy to set time. Came with the capacitor charged above the low level warning. Like others have mentioned, the dial in typical light just looks dark, but will look blue in certain lighting. And only the hour and minute hand glow in the dark, not the markers. I am very satisfied with the watch. However, the band measures a total of 7 3/8 inches, and the industry "standard" for a regular length band is 7 7/8 inches ( 125mm + 75mm = 200mm). So this watch band is about half an inch shorter than expected, and since I have an 8 inch wrist, I really notice it. I will give it some time to stretch and become pliable before buying a 200mm (7 7/8 inch) replacement.

Lots of reviewers have said that the pictures don't do the watch justice and that is certainly the case for the reviewers' pictures. Here's a closeup of the blue dial version with a Bond NATO on my 6 3/4 inch wrist. For my taste the watch is a little big for a "field watch", especially on my wrist. It looks a lot more like a Flieger Type A flying watch, which certainly isn't a bad thing, especially for those who like their sports watches to command attention. This baby is readable from across the room and will doubtless attract interest and comments. If you like your watches to be subtle, you may want to look for something more discrete. Otherwise, the watch is impressive, with a second hand that hits the indices, 100m water resistance, screw down back, high contrast matt dial, Eco-drive, etc. I'm warming up to the size and for larger wrists and/or more flamboyant personalities, this watch should be perfect. It's time-keeping was also excellent at +5 sec/month. With a dozen timepieces in my regular rotation, a quartz movement is a must. I like to have the correct time and I learned my lesson about automatics when I literally wore out the crown threads on my Orient Mako over four years of resetting that silly watch every few days. If you don't care too much about the time, get an automatic; otherwise, a watch with a quartz movement is the way to go. Oh, if you (like me) were gnashing your teeth about the 21mm lug width, you may be pleased to know that all my 22mm straps work ok, which is a relief considering how many already own.

like not having to change a battery, good looks, use for other than work

I needed something to tell time without having to check my phone. This keeps time well and the Eco-Drive keeps it nicely charged. The numbers are easy to read for the time, but the date is difficult to read. The leather watch straps are a nice complement to the green face and steel body. It has a nice weight to it.

Best watch ever. I don’t know about you but replacing batteries on a watch is a hassle. I love watches but who has time to replace batteries?This watch is a citizens eco drive that actually is powered by light. Not only sunlight. The lights in your home work too! No more batteries. Yay.It’s sleek. Comfortable. Handsome and worth every penny.Do it.

Big dial. Easy to read even in low light. And it tells time.

I loved the dial and strap. I have a large collection of watches but this does get a lot of wrist time

Excellent visibility, Eco Drive, solid construction. The strap is quite bad though (it’s leather but it also feels like a tough paper ins own areas) but you can purchase a NATO or leather replacement strap for cheap. Over it’s a well-priced field watch from a reputable brand.
