TurboCAD does everything high lever CAD packages does for minimal investment.
There's so much to CAD packages like this and people have their own viewpoints and needs, so I suggest you look for more in depth reviews. This is simply to give you a perspective of what my background is and a briefly comparison. I used AutoCAD for many years as an engineer starting with release 2 back in the early 80's through release 2000 prior to leaving engineering for sales. I now use TurboCAD for projects, both personal and business. This product is amazing for the price. Don't be fooled by the price though! This is a very powerful package that will suffice for most businesses at many levels. Do your own research you won't have to look very far. You will find an incredible amount of information and how to videos on YouTube. I have used TurboCAD for about 7yrs now and really appreciate the changes starting with 2015. They make even a lower cost version that I hear many woodworkers using for their project drawings. The one thing I used to do, that I don't anymore is customization to the software. Back in the day with ACAD I wrote LISP routines, since LISP language was ACAD's backbone. My LISP routines were for automating things such as breaking lines when inserting blocks. These routines today are now built-in functions within ACAD, If you are a professional that wishes to do this you might want to do some research to make sure of TurboCAD's capabilities for these types of modifications. That said, you can customize menus super easy within TurboCAD and setting up is very easy. New to CAD? That's OK! Just give yourself a fair amount of time and do your research/learning on the internet and you will be able to figure things out very quickly. I hope this review helps

Good program, but lacks some of the most basic options.
The program is good. With the ability to work with 2D and 3D, the work ability is great. The graphics and options are helpful to the user to perform their work. One disappointment with this is that the program does not include the basic command bar that plays a part in maintaining a fast work flow. The user would not expect to have to upgrade for that option.

TurboCAD is not AutoCAD
Don't believe it's intuitive and should include more quick tutorial video links... I was trained on AutoCAD and it's not the same.

Works for me. Overkill for my needs, makes $99 a bargain.
Background: Geophysicist. I had AutoDesk at work, MicroStation as a 1990's OSU grad. student. Both were way more than needed, but I needed to output dxf files, Now I want to design hard bags, power points, etc for my trike. TurboCAD is way more functionally than I need. I can make them of fiber or even putty and aluminum. The only reason for 4 stars vs. 5 stars is the complex nature of these programs, TurboCAD is so capable it is too much program for me. I'm still deep into the learning curve, and that is never a good place to write a review. However, Amazon will bug me to death for she next year, so... This will do all I need and then ssome. I get a kick out of the initial error box that tells me startup was fully successful! But it started okay and runs fine on a Windows 7 Pro 64 bit homebrew box with AMD Phenom Quad processor, 4Gb memory, 8Gb triple monitor nvidea video card. I upgraded the card and power supply, and now as far as I can tell no fans ever come on. Dead quiet desktop. go figure. Not as good as THE OSU stomping Michigan, but what is?

Don't let the price fool you... This is one powerful package
After using AutoCad during my entire professional career it was a big transition to switch to TurboCAD but I couldn't justify buying a more expensive package for home use. Naturally at first I was slow and clumsy until I found the icons I needed for my application. This is one powerful package and is definitely a lot of bang for the buck. The software is not happy with the graphics card on my notebook but it seems to work fine using a generic driver I assume. Maybe you would run into some speed issues on a large drawing but that's not a problem for me. Being able to directly import AutoCAD drawings worked great so that was another big plus for this package.

Beware if you are using a 4K display. "Compatible with Windows 10" is not exactly a true statement.
I am a retired Engineer who wanted occasional CAD capability working at home. The first accessory I bought after retiring was a screaming fast Dell I7 notebook with a 4K Infinity Edge display. Awesome machine. I should be able to do ANYTHING with it - right? I felt I couldn't justify AutoCAD LT or even AutoSketch due to cost. I read some decent reviews of TurboCad. It was less expensive. It was "compatible with Win10". So I bought it - full well knowing I would have to bloody-my-nose relearning various drawing commands etc. Well that's not the problem - the program does not support the GPU/drivers for the 4K super high-res display. I can still run it - kinda. Tool icons are TINY (unreadable). Text stacks in a funky way in dialog boxes (again - sometimes unreadable). Data display boxes default to a width that is so narrow that it does not display the entire data value without truncating it. After some forum research, I am advised that if I reduce my screen resolution, it might fix the problems??? So now I've got this screaming-fast Win 10 PC with a beautiful high-res display that I can't utilize for CAD - unless I switch to low resolution??? REALLY??? Geeeesh... This product is an extreme disappointment for me. A 1-star rating is actually charity. ****UPDATE 15Dec2016**** IMSI Design recommended that I resort to a lower 1920x1080 res setting which did help somewhat. But I stumbled onto a major fix myself that helps - at the top of each flyout there a tiny icon labeled Pallet Options - check the Large icons option under that and you can now actually see the Pallet icons. Text stacking/overlay remains an issue. But at least now I can do some minor CAD design at home without pulling my hair out in frustration. I'll bump this up to a 3-star rating vs. the 1-star before. Not great, but useable.
