Very affordable and still in good shape. My sons hospital didn’t have a bell for him to ring at end of treatment, so, we purchased this. It is still hanging on the wall at the hospital and now other children get to “ring the bell.”

Dinner bell - heck no. This baby went straight up on the all of my bar. When it rings we all do shots! It is all iron and looks better than I thought. I also thought it wasn't going to be big enough, but it's actually the perfect size. Comes with a metal thing you grab onto to ring and it's reasonably loud. If you are using it to call the guys in from their work in the farm field, well it likely won't project quite that far, but for an indoor setting it's plenty loud.
