The Catholic Faith Handbook for Youth

As a candidate for conversion, i was given this by my priest to read. I found it excellently written for youths or for those seeking conversion and explanations of the Catholic faith. It was so good, I bought my own copy to make notes and highlight areas. Describes the sacraments and has prayers and devotions in the back.

"The Catholic Faith Handbook for Youth" is a very good resource for youth and adults wanting to learn more about the Catholic faith and tradition. It is up to date in it's theology. It provides not only the basic catechism of the church, but also gives great stories and descriptions of some of the lives of the saints. It is easy and enjoyable to read and understand. I use the book for my catechists to help them to pass on our tradition and beliefs to the children and youth they encounter in a language that can be understood.

I have been teaching the faith for over 48 years. I was asked to use this book with an adult RCIA enquirer who needed individual sessions. I was surprised by the number of questions the text sparked off in only the first few pages. The process has continued and both the adult enquirer and myself have thoroughly enjoyed the process of coming to faith. Deacon Ñick. (NZ)

Nice way to get the knowledge of our Faith understood by teens.

Ok but an older edition (2004).

I purchased this for a class taken at a local catholic college. There was a lot of reading for this class and this particular book was recommended by a fellow on-line student. I was baptized catholic, but there is a lot that I do not know about my faith. Hopefully, this book will fill in some of the gaps. The fellow on-line student stated that this book is used by his fellow teachers in the high school where he teaches.

Working in a religious education office, we review many books. This one definitely stood out as an exception. It's a user friendly set-up and references the Bible and the CCC. There is a lot of information under this cover. This handbook is not just for teens, but also for adults. I've given them as gifts and they are well received from those distanced from their faith and those close to it. St. Mary's Press is an excellent publisher.

Almost like the Holy Spirit holding your hand teaching you how to be a true Christian, and thats NOT just going to mass on Sunday. We either grow in faith or lose it, there is no inbetween. A lovely, very special handbook you can pop in and out of for true inspiration. priceless. Buy one for yourself and your friends and family.
