ASICSWomen's GT-2000 7 Running Shoes

I found this shoe in person at a local store, and eventually bought three more pairs here, on Amazon. I'm 5'1" and a few brands are too high in the back and cut into my Achilles. I originally tried an 8, and this happened. When I went to a 7.5 however, they fit good and did not rub the Achilles tendon, and never caused blisters or bleeding there, like I have had with so many other shoes. I will say, at the time, I was almost 200#, and the downsizing caused the shoe to be tight across the foot. I've since lost weight, (142#), and the 7.5 fits perfectly in every direction. It is lightweight with a very good grip. I wore the first pair only indoors for use during aerobic videos with a lot of side-to-side movement. That was for about 7 months. I began getting pained knees, and decided for my videos to go to another pair. I was going to use the first pair for driving and errands only, but decided to try them at the park on mostly paved but some unpaved trails. I have been walking and doing running intervals in them thrice now, and they have given excellent traction, still conform brilliantly to my foot, and no sore knees at all. So, I'm still getting wear after 7 months on this first pair. The second pair that stepped in for aerobics is going well. No sore knees, either. I am very glad I stocked up on this shoe as it's been "improved" to the Gel Contend 5. I like what I like and want only that. I also like the black and orange sunburst coloration combination. That is the one I stocked up on. If you don't care which color you get, you can probably get a great buy right now. Love these shoes and thankful I have at least another 18 months supply of them.

Received these in the mail today and I was very pleased with the shoes. I have had Asics before, they are my favorite brand. I have had a pair of Nikes for the last year that were by new favs but time for new shoes and I have been trying them on in a lot of different stores and I have not found ones that fit right. Asics are hard to find in stores and usually run near a hundred dollars. So a friend suggested Amazon. I know what size I wear and then took the advice of other reviews on here about the toe box being a bit more narrow than in the past. The pair that were my favorites had a boxy toe. So taking that advice I ordered a wide. I was very worried since I am hard to fit but much to my surprise these shoes fit perfect right out of the box. The toe is a bit more narrow than in the past and with ordering a Wide it helped and I am very comfortable in them. I have taken the dogs for a walk in them already and there is not one problem in the fit or the shoe. No "breaking in" phase at all. Im actually looking forward to my 8 hour shift as Head Cashier in a huge store on a concrete floor now. ( not really but at least I won't be in pain now) Thanks, great shoes.

As expected, these Asics fit well and are super comfortable. I purchased this pair based on my love of the Asics brand, the low price and color scheme.I'm not a runner, so I can't attest to their performance for that, but for walking, light hiking, on the elliptical and for general strength training, these are perfect! They are lightweight, sturdy, very comfortable and have the right amount of support. I'm pretty sure they'll last for a while. I've even washed them once (gentle cycle) after a very dusty hike that left them filthy and they came out looking brand new again.They're really good looking and I've even gotten several compliments on them, so that's a nice bonus!

I am super picky about sneakers. I refuse to wear uncomfortable shoes. I swear by Asics - I came upon my first pair about 15 years ago and those lasted like a champ in a job where I was on my feet all day in a hospital. I purchased these and a trail shoe by ASICS recently. My only beef is that these are not for dirt trails or serious hiking since stickers and dust/dirt can get inside the shoe. ASICS are light as air and kind to the feet, and they let your feet breathe. The arch support is great and these are a nice flexible shoe. Nothing worse than a stiff sneaker. These run true to size, provide nice toe box room, and there is no heel slippage, another pet peeve of mine.I don't even bother trying on other brands, the only other casual shoe I will wear are Sketchers but those are just for light wear like around the house or running errands. They are kind of cheap. For serious work or hiking/walking ASICS are my favorites.

Love these shoes! They are lightweight but sturdy. I work 10 hour days on a hard concrete floor and had previously experienced foot pain during and after my shifts, even waking up the next morning. With these shoes, I have no pain during my shift or when I get home which has been game changing for me. I am in between a 9.5 and 10 shoe size, and purchased a 10 in case I needed inserts for additional comfort. The 10 fits perfectly for me. The toe is a little more narrow than other tennis shoes I own, like my New Balance for example, but that is actually a better fit for my feet. I am so happy with my purchase and cannot believe these were as affordable as they are given the quality! I will be purchasing another pair in the near future.

I have problem feet, replacement knees and back issues. I was unable to walk in tennis shoes until my physical therapist recommended these shoes. Oh my goodness! This is my 3rd pair and I love them. They last me about a year of daily use with a lot of walking. The soles have good grip but don't trip me up by grabbing pavement like other tennis shoes. I haven't tripped or fallen once since getting these shoes and I am walking a lot more - without knee or back pain. Per my PT's advice, I removed the foot pad and replaced it with Superfeet gel inserts. The result is the best shoe for walking I could ask for. I bought this new pair to take to Europe where I know we will be doing a lot of walking. I will wear them for a month before going, but they really don't require a lot of breaking in, and I had no blister or rubbing issues when breaking in my other pairs. The seller promised them in 5 days. I got them in 3 days in perfect condition - impressive!

I love that you don’t need to break these shoes in. They are comfortable from day one!
