With the sad passing of Roy right in the midst of his 'resurgence' of joining the Travelling Wilburys, the whole market for his past successes has really got our of control! There's re-issues yes, but the bulk of these seem to be just re-recordings -- yes, he always tried to do them the same, but they always seem to lack that certain something that producer Fred Foster used to get out of the legend using a unique voice and range to the maximum. So you need to get these 20 titles of the original Monument cuts, and turn a blind eye to all the later re-recorded stuff, some of it 'live' too where the sound is often quite dreadful. Get THE BEST!

What can one say this is the Big O at his best, I had originally had the LP years ago and had being looking for a CD, which has brilliant sound, brilliant play back and brilliant songs. All the best of Roy are there, Only the lonely, In dream, its over and Pretty Woman (from Pretty Woman film), If you follow Big O and morn his passing then this is the CD for you. Many have tried copying him but have failed, his brilliance speaks through his singing, which has magic and zing.
