Hat don't stand like the picture but very nice

This hat was so much fun. It is a great value for the money because laughs are priceless. I did have to stuff the hat with tissue paper to get it to stand up.

This hat is clearly meant to be worn for *fun* and not meant for warmth (the features listed for the review include Warmth, so I want to be clear, that this is not meant as a hat to keep a person warm and I don't really understand why anyone would think it meant for that). Aside from that, there are wires to shape the hat and the wires are, frankly, HEAVY. The hat is not adjustable in size so unless it fits snugly around a person's head, it slips around and doesn't stay in the position that you set it in because the wires weigh it down and pull it off of the head. I kept it ONLY because it was purchased for a group Christmas photo and could be positioned on a head while the person wearing it stood still for the photo. If it was meant to be worn at a party or in, say, a High School play, it wouldn't stay put on the head of a moving person.

Great looking hat and nice use of wiring to allow you to make the curls like an elf, BUT, sizing is wrong to adults with even normal-medium head size. I couldn't wear it. Gave it to my wife and it barely fit her. Probably good for kids.

There is no base for the wires so no matter how much I bend the wures, the too just flops over. A constant fight to keep upright. A niice idea, but poor execution. I will keep trying but wire is getting even looser as I keep bending it.I moved it from 1 star to a 4. I got it to work by scrunching about 1/4 of the wire into the bottom hat. I lost some height, but it still looks goofy which is what I wanted.

The wire does not come all the way to the base of the hat. It immediately flops over. The hat portion has a liner so you can't pull it further down on your head. There is no forgiveness if you a have a large head nor a smaller head. I doubt children could wear it with out modifications. I should have caught on with all the photo shopped photos.On the other side, the fabric is nice. It seems to be sewn well.I would not purchase again.
