The Pink Tax, for those who don't know, refers to the fact that women are charged significantly more money for less (quality, quantity, options...). For example, if you place a pack of mens and womens razors next to each other the first thing you notice is women's razors are prettier and come in prettier packaging. Other than that the products are either identical or feature only slight, nonsensical differences, often used as an excuse by the manufacturer to charge women more. Worse, the next thing you notice is the women get less PRODUCT (i.e., 8 pretty pink WOMEN'S razors vs. 12 bland MEN'S teal razors). That difference in price and quantity for the same quality, is a "Pink Tax" impossed upon women. Another example of a Pink Tax is illustrated by the cost dry cleaners charge men vs. women. In a 60 Minutes sting some years back they had a man bring 5 mens shirts to a dry cleaners. When he picked them up he paid and left. Later, they had a woman bring in 5 women's blouses. When she went to pick them up she was charged quite a bit more than the man. When confronted by the reporter, the dry cleaner owner argued that dry cleaning women's blouses took more time and work because all the equipment dry cleaners use is sized for men. I was thinking 'And that's MY fault?' But then, the producers decided to try something different, just to see: They had another woman enter that same dry cleaners with 5 MENS shirts, similar in every way to what the original man had cleaned. Guess what? Even with all men's shirts, the woman was STILL charged the "women's price." What the dry cleaners had been doing for so long and which is STILL commonly done, was pink taxing - and a woman was working the front desk. In the end, there was no excuse and what they HAD been doing (the REASON for the news sting) was discriminating against women, a majority class STILL earning 82% of what men in the U.S. earn* while being charged significantly more for many things, with no legit justification.******So, I was on my SmartNews app a few days ago when I stumbled upon an article with a roundup of pink tax reports from all kinds of women. One said she got some men's antiperspirant she paid much less for and claimed she bought it a year ago, exclaiming, "You get so much more and the fragrance is better!" Another waxed poetic about mens bodywash, saying pretty much the same thing (Get more, smells better, lasts longer...). Then the discussion turned to clothing quality and the women had plenty to say about the cheap fabrics and workmanship of womens clothes compared to mens. Lots of remarks to the effect that men have "better colors", "women's tee fabrics are practically see-through and fall apart fast" and "I always hit the mens/boys sections for clothes that won't lose their shape within 3 to 4 washes..." Then, one young woman referred to MEN'S tees from Comfort Colors being "a priviledge" to wear. She couldn't stop talking about the "substantial" fabrics, "how well they're made", and "how beautifully they wash and hold up over time"... compared to "cheap womens tees." She did not mention Comfort Colors WOMEN'S tees...As a plus-size woman with extreme curves (which I had even before I got, fat... just being honest), having tried mens tees before, I had doubts. If it fits from the waist up it will not fit in the opposite direction. I, like every other woman, long for the better quality/workmanship of mens casual clothes, and would love to pay THEIR prices, too. But I am not built for mens/boys sizing. For all I know, the female quoted could measure 32-30-32. I, myself, do not.At any rate, the female specifically mentioned the men's tees so I swung... and, predictably, missed.I got the Mens XXL in Ice Blue. I knew before I got it, it wouldn't work (hope springs eternal) - and when I held it up it up my doubts were confirmed. It was waaaay huge from the waist-up, with no side seams (of course) and absolutely no way to take up the excess in the sleeves/armholes (The real reason most wedding dresses are strapless. Armholes are often impossible to alter if the bride gains/loses weight... if you ever wondered), and skin-tight across my buh-donk-a-donk. Not surprised, which is why I only tried ONE. But man, the color was (*sigh*) GORGEOUS, and would have worked well on me (All the MENS colors are MY taste... I love colors that are hard to describe... not really blue... or green... or gray... BUT SO lovely) and the fabric was deliciously SUBSTANTIAL in a way I've NEVER experienced in a WOMENS tee. If you're not curvy I would recommend trying the CC men's tees if you're loving a color, or too.Now, I haven't tried the Comfort Colors WOMEN'S tees and was going to try them but I just checked and, oh boy! The models have small curves, and in the largest size (XXL) the only colors available are the wrong kind of strange and a bunch of 'Annoying Girl' colors (pastel yellow, pastel pink, fuchsia, sorta pink... jeebus). And, of course, all the reviews state "Runs Small"!I get it. Message received.* Being generous. The "testers" were all white. Factor in race and, as you can imagine how deep is this cost chasm.

The white ones and natural ones I have ordered so far are as described, well made and fit great. A black one I ordered I am returning because its thin and made out of spandex or some weird material.

The neckline is one of those that is thicker than the rest of the shirt which I like because it makes it look more expensive rather than other plain white shirts.

I had to double check my order before writing this. Yes, I ordered medium and I got large. So, I'm dropping 1 star. Or it's as good as it was expected.

I have been looking for Comfort Colors tee shirts for a while and finally found them here on Amazon in a variety of colors and sizes. I will definitely be buying more.

This aqua/Light Blue color is what jumped out at me first! I am mediately thought my fiancé does not have a shirt that is this color and it is gorgeous! I have tried to buy him a few shirts and sweatpants in the past and they were not the right size. They were too small. So as soon as he opened the package and pulled the shirt out, he immediately said there’s a fit. Oh yeah I can wear that so naturally, I was super excited it’s soft minimal he did say that the first time we wash it do not dry it because it will shrink because it is 100% cotton so there’s that advice. But again it is just as advertised it fits him. The color is beautiful and the price you cannot be I paid 10$ bucks for this shirt. Which I am always looking for a deal because my precious fiancé is always buying me things and making sure I have what I need and he never buys anything for himself so I have been on a mission for a couple of months now trying to find him clothes, and things that will fit him perfectly, because he is always thinking of me and never himself. He’s such a sweet, wonderful man. I love him so much which is why I started this journey. He always lets me do whatever I want buy anything if I tell him I want some thing he goes out and gets it but him he never buys himself anything . So I am constantly hunting for his size in all clothing and shoes !👞 I enjoy very much surprising him with new things here and there! Because he never does for himself. So I am so so happy he just tried it on and we both love it! So I’ll be buying more shirts from this specific part

I’m thinking a grill cover factory switched to T shirts mid shift: “Team, it’s T shirts now” and there were truck loads of cotton thread but no tape measure or mannequins. At my funeral I hope someone says “He’d give you the grill cover off his back.” Seriously, I like the colors and they’re durable.

Good fit and good quality - will buy again!

I'm very happy with this purchase. This tee has a nice weight to it (not too thin or too heavy), is very soft and feels like it's good quality that will last.On top of that, the color is absolutely beautiful and I'm not typically that big a fan of purple tones. Great color for summer.Love the distressed look and would highly recommend this brand.I love this shirt so much that I just purchased it in a different color!
