Large Buttons, Easy to Set Up and Use
The remote arrived on time and worked like a charm. It found my Visio TV instantly. After reading the instructions I did perform a more detailed search for a better fit that enabled the AV Input button to work better. This was one of the easiest and so far best functioning remotes I've had. The seller described the product accurately and the box was appropriate in size and shape. I do wish there was a notice of how many and what type of batteries were needed on the Amazon posting (if it was there I overlooked it) so that I could have had the correct size on hand to immediately enjoy my remote. The remote has larger, simplified buttons which are easy to see and easy to push with my older, larger fingers. We haven't dropped it yet so I cannot attest to its durability. I'm planning to order another for our TV and one for Dad's TV at the nursing home.

Total waste of money
Don't buy this!! I like the fact that you don't have to program it. I like the fact that there aren't a ton of useless buttons that will never be used. But, the buttons don't work and you'd better have it aimed directly at the TV. This was purchased for my 90 year old mother. She tried to get channel 37. She pushed the 3, but the 7 wasn't having it! I wish they would make one that just worked and was dependable.

I bought this for my TV in the bedroom. I have Direct TV and couldn't get their remote to work. I thought it was because it wasn't compatible with my newer model TV. Tried to program this one, and nothing. I may yet be able to figure it out, so I won't say anything negative about it.

Worked right out of the box, with our old Panasonic analog TV !! .
Yay we are happy with this remote. It works perfectly, not set up required!! the dog chewed up the original remote. These buttons are so much easier to deal with too. Happy with this purchase

Failed to work after a short time
I ordered this remote for my 93-year old mother. It worked immediately with her Vizio TV and was simple enough for her to use. The low rating is due to the fact that it failed after about two weeks of use. I tried new batteries and made sure they were installed properly but that did not help. The cost of this remote is very low but i expected it to last MUCH longer

Good basic remote in principle.
This is an honest review: I'm giving this 4 stars because although VERY simple to use, my aged mother-in-law would have had some difficulty using it (see final paragraph below). She's in a nursing home that has a TERRIBLE system. This GMATRIX remote was my attempt to make it easier for her to watch TV.The nursing home "remote" has the "call buttons" for a nurse (like you see in a hospital), the lights on and off, a built-in speaker PLUS TV power / channel / volume up and down, and some bed functions. You say, what's so hard about this? Well, it's nuts: she has to turn the TV on and off with this "remote," but is forced to use a separate LG remote ONLY for channel and volume control. She has dementia, and as soon as you try and explain how it works, she forgets. And if she doesn't forget, she can't find the small LG remote that might be next to her on her bed. She has to call a nurse to change the channel!Anyway, unfortunately I was unable to program this remote to work in this environment. IT is NOT a problem with the Gmatrix remote. Turns out that the nursing home LG TV's power is hard-wired to the nursing home's system; and they've somehow disabled the ability to turn off/on using any sort of wireless remote...However,This remote is easy to program (just wish it would have worked in this situation). There are several different ways to do this (the instructions could use an "edit" by the way).I feel that the "SET" and "A/V" button would probably have caused problems if I did get this to work. Hence, I subtracted one star for her special needs. She presses buttons inadvertently even when using a simple phone. Minor suggestion - if ever this unit is redesigned you might want to add a "hidden" button (like a pin-hole "reset"). After the customer gets the remote programmed working, you can (optionally) use a paperclip to disable the Set / Mute / AV input buttons. Use the paperclip again to restore these functions. I.e., add the ability to make the remote as simple and basic as possible.

Just what we needed!
I purchased 2 remote controls for my 92 year old mother in law who is in an assisted living facility. The remotes that came with her TV sets had too many buttons and were too confusing for her to operate. These were perfect for her! No problem with set up and worked perfectly with her TV sets.

Basic functions only and no customer support.
Works fine to change channel and adjust sound. There is an input button that brings up tv input choices on screen but input options can not be accessed. The inductions included with the device are insufficient to resolve this issue. Unable to contact customer support. The cs number listed on Amazon for Gmatrix is incorrect. Will work for basic functions but that's about it. Coin not recommend this remote.
