She does have a harder time removing it at the end of the day (of course), and she needed to keep sharpening it (she has a sharpener) but it is a great alternative for her than the the more expensive stuff. The whole tip broke off the very first time I used it and then it wouldn't advance when I twisted the bottom. (I tried twisting the top too, nothing worked.) This is a plastic pencil, not a wooden one where the tip can be sharpened. I returned the first pencil and was sent a replacement... and the same thing happened again. I was able to use the replacement two times though before the tip broke completely off and then wouldn't advance. When I tried to replace the second pencil, the return site wouldn't let me. It just kept saying a replacement had already been sent.
