Seagate IronWolf Pro Hard NAS SATA Internal Hard Drive 6Gb/s

As you'd expect it's got a good performance and very high capacity. I've had it for a couple months now and so far I've had no problems with it. My only pet peeve is that it is very noisy when starting up or reading randomly, but can't really complain.

After reading other reviews I confess I was a little concerned, but I purchased two and they both work perfectly on my Synology 920+. The Seagate IronWolf are a bit noisy; I don't know if there are quieter NAS HDDs.

Unfortunately the unit was faulty but the company sorted it out with no hassle.

Bought another 2 drives to increase my raid from 4 12tb drives to 6 x 12 tb drives I added these drives with no issues and expanded my raid great relaible fast drives always trust Seagate pro drives for large data storage solutions

Connected to my duel hard drive tv storage and seemed to work OK for a short time. Reimbursed for the unit cost but had to pay postage to America for checking

Unnecessary backstory.. After shelling out £700 to a company to "rescue" the data on a damaged, 5TB external hard-drive. I did a little research and found that hard-drives are less accident-prone when they're "naked" i.e. uncased. However, uncased aka internal hard-drives require 1-5 bay hard-drive enclosures. I bought a Yottamaster enclosure - which found fault with both my 5TB and 16TB hard-drives. The instruction manual was exclusive to Windows OS, and it's website help links were dead! So I returned the Yottamaster forthwith - and bought a Terramaster instead - which is much better. However, that too doesn't recognise the 16TB Seagate hard-drive - it's just too (beaucoup) big. Obviously, the problem isn't with the Seagate 16TB Iron-wolf. Just be aware that most hard-drive enclosures won't 'work with' a 16TB hard-drive - despite their sales promises. But if anyone does have an 'enclosure' that can accommodate a 16TB hard-drive, please do enlighten me!

This was the second drive i'd ordered from them (the first all was good with the product) but this drive was faulty on arrival & wouldn't work in my NAS. So returned to seller which is in the US which means there's a substantial delay in getting your money refunded & I'm over £30 out of pocket because i've had to pay for the return postage costs (no free shipping offered, post office tracked & signed for). I wont risk that again & will be more mindful in the future about where the product ships from & is returned to.

Es de los mejores discos que he comprado, Seagate es una de las mejores marcas en el mercado en cuando a almacenamiento de datos se refiere. Les recomiendo que descarguen el software de Seagate (desde la página oficial) para comprobar que el disco no tenga problemas de fabrica, antes de comenzar a escribir datos en el. Es un poco ruidoso obviamente ya que es un disco duro mécanico HDD, no es un SSD. Lo volvería a comprar, definitivamente.

Use it for more than a year, and it is good storage. Read and load pretty fast too.

De momento todo correcto según lo esperado

Diese Festplatten haben andere Festplatten, die defekte aufwiesen, ausgetauscht. Auf einem NAS-Server wurden die vorhandenen Festplatten gegen diese neuen Festplatten nach und nach ausgetauscht. Beim Einsetzen der Festplatte brauchte das Nas-System nicht heruntergefahren werden. Seit dem Austausch laufen diese Festplatte im 24/7 Betrieb zuverlässig.
