It works. Still a little difficult for an 8 year old to read the instructions and figure out how to place the ribbon. Does help with holding the barrette, but we had better results by just holding the ribbon ourselves then trying to figure out which slot to place the ribbon.

I also bought this for me 10 year old daughter. It is a little difficult for her as the ribbon slips down as you lace it. A dab of craft glue helps that. When finished the barrett is hard to clip into the hair, and taking it back out was worse with out pulling her hair. It is a cute idea. I would like to see more designs better barrettes, and cheaper supplies.

Hello- are you a momma from the 80's? I had so many wonderful memories of making these when I was a kid. This was a great project to do together with my daughter. If only they had this loom/holder when I was a kid. Makes it a lot easier to hold that ribbon in place.

My daughter received this for Christmas just in time and has made many barrettes. There are many beads and ribbons to choose from and she loves wearing the barrettes with matching outfits.

I bought this for my great neice as a Christmas gift. She seemed to like it very much. I think she'll have a good time making those for herself and her friends.

Very cute craft kit but a little involved for a 6 year old IMO. We both have enjoyed it tho.

This is a wonderful product. I bought two. One for each granddaughter. They make great Christmas gifts and are perfect for granddaughters visiting during the summer vacation.I would buy from this vendor again and I probably will before Christmas.I purchased them for children ages 8-12.
