Lot 4 ARTIST CANVAS 8x10" Framed Pre-Stretched BLANK Cotton Double Gesso

These small canvases are just like the larger pre stretched canvases. They will fit in a frame the same as well (depth wise). They were packaged in shrink wrap plastic and arrived in perfect shape and timely; as Amazon usually delivers. These will be perfect for my still life's or portrait work. (However, I will probably lightly sand for portraits, as the surface is rougher than I prefer for portraits). I prefer stretched canvas to panels and these will suit my purpose very well. I prefer to work with oils, but I am sure they would work with acrylics just as well. I will not hesitate to reorder these canvases.

These canvases were bought for my granddaughter who has shown an interest and an aptitude in drawing and painting. It's frustrating to have the skill and no supplies. This package of canvases was reasonably priced and good quality. A perfect match! I will buy more of these in larger sizes as well.

I expected a little bit better quality, but it was okay for the price. None of the 4 were perfectly square. I was mounting a print to these and it was very noticeable that my print wasn't perfectly centered because the canvas itself was not a perfect rectangle. And a couple of the wood strips under the canvas were beat up so you could see the flaws in the smoothness around the edges. Overall they were cheap and worked for my project. But they just didn't impress me very much.

I received these very quickly and they packaged nicely. The quality was very nice, a little on the pricey side though. I have gotten them cheaper however the cheaper ones were a bit thinner and not as strong. Over all great product.

but i like the canvas! I am just getting into pouring acrylics, the minor problem i have with these is the corners do not allow the canvas to lay flat. it is like a table with a leg to short! also i didnt receive the little wooden keys for tightening but that is no big deal!

I'm particular as I sometimes paint on the sides and like a deep profile. Notice the photo and where the staples are. (quick delivery time)

Great value for small canvases. Not the highest-quality, but if you need them for a project requiring them to be covered, they are perfect.

It appears to me that the canvas was primed before it was stretched on the frames because when you look at the edge you can see the primer or gesso has cracked a bit. Also, the canvases I received (all 4 per pack) were not stretched very tightly - there's movement when it should be tight like a drum. Next time I will be less lazy and just stretch and gesso my own.
