Waterway Plastics 519-3250 Basket Handle

I assumed this would fit my existing basket holes. But I had to drill it out a little before I could get tabs in the basket. It's more heavy duty that what the basket came with.

This worked perfectly for me and was a good fit out of the box. In order not to break the basket holes (plastic) I used my Dremel cutting wheel to carefully cut off the ends of the old handle so it came out easily and the new one snaps in very easily.

I mold plastics for a living. The parts I got had quite a bit of flash and evidence the mold halves were misaligned. This is usually a sign of an old mold being barely maintained. Since the plastic used appears to be glass fiber reinforced the flashing was sharp and needed to be removed before using the product. I also had to enlarge the holes on the Waterway basket and file a bit off the handle barbs to get it to go together. One of the 2 handles was broken immediately by somebody just pulling on the full basket without rotating it to the overly precise position required to release it from the basket holder. I've tried to find alternate basket designs that were less of a pain and dimensionally compatible with no luck so far.

i bought this to replace the handle on one of our skimmer baskets that had gone missing. I checked the part number on the other basket handle to confirm this would fit. I wouldn't necessarily expect it to fit other baskets so I would look at the part number and order the identical part. It works just fine. It's plastic so don't expect the strength of metal, but be reasonable with it and it will serve you well.

End points don’t secure in basket as well as original basket

I accidentally broke my original skimmer basket handle, as I did not realize how delicate they were. Bought this one, and it fits just like the original as it should, since it matched my original sku #.

Defect in molding process where barb did not form. Amazon had me contact Waterway for replacement. Waterway said no and to contact Amazon. All of the others were slightly smaller and would easily slide off of the basket. Would not buy from Waterway.
