Useful 1200 watt inverter
The item arrived well packed and on time as is normal with Amazon. I was initially surprised how light it was compared to other inverters I have owned, so was a little sceptical of its capabilities. I intend to use it mainly in our campervan for those items you just can't run on 12 volt. My first test was using it to power a small 400 watt travel hair dryer which it did perfectly as you would expect, the next was a 1200 watt microwave which again it coped without problem. I only ran it for two minutes as the battery I was using was only 80ah, I have two of these in the van and will have to link these together and beef up the wiring to cope with the heavy load. The unit is very neat and nicely finished and I'm hoping it will live up to these initial tests. A couple of points to note, when connecting to your battery there is a little sparking between the clamp and terminal, this is normal. The display takes a few seconds to show when switched on and finally this is a modified sine wave inverter and from previous experience probably not suitable for appliances such as electric toothbrushes with inductive chargers as they tend to blow the charger. So overall very pleased with the inverter.

Smart,sturdy and works well.
Im using this in my campervan. Smart looking, well built inverter with a carry handle. Quite a bulky item but not overly heavy and very little fan noise whilst on. The well lit screen shows volts in,volts out,and usefully a wattage meter so you know exactly how many items can run off it at a time, and monitor usage etc. 1200watts means it will power a 600w 240v heater with no issues or many lower wattage items together. Seems good value for a top brand. So far so good

Well worth it.
Had mine for about a year now and not had any problems. Great thing is its small, really quiet and shows you how much energy you are using. With 2 plugs and usb ports its brilliant. I use it in my campervan. As an American brand you can't go wrong.

Works Well - Beware Of Reverse Battery Connection
Bought as a standby power source for a fridge/freezer (~800W on startup, ~200W running) during power cuts. Tested it for 5 hours and it does the job without fuss or getting too hot.The only downside I have found (hence the removal of 1 star) is what happens if you connect the battery the wrong way round. When I accidentally did this there was a loud bang followed by a metallic smell and the unit did not work. Fearing the worst I checked everything and found that all four 50A spade fuses on the rear of the unit had blown (hence the loud bang), so I replaced them (you get four spare 50A fuses with the unit) and powered it up correctly. Joy of joys it worked so the reverse polarity protection does the job, but noisily.

Happily ran my 1200 watt bosch 32R lawnmower and a vax 820 watt vacuum cleaner.
Tidy design , accurate display screen. Happily ran my 1200 watt bosch 32R lawnmower and a vax 820 watt vacuum cleaner, also 550 watt hedge trimmer. heating appliances proved too fast a drain for much use with a small battery capacity set up. Fan creates some noise when a good load is being pulled. Cuts out on low voltage and you have to manually restart it. It does what it says on the tin , 100 a/h battery can struggle to last for long when pulling a load , 180 a/h proved to make worrying about low voltage less of a problem 😉

More details
It’s not what I expected. I need it to go on the inside of my vehicle without having to run leads to the battery.
