Beautiful - Retro styled Direct Drive Turntable
The media could not be loaded. This is just sweet, right out of the box with it’s supplied cartridge. No frills turntable solidly built with a no belt direct drive motor and a beautiful stainless steel tonearm. Dust Cover, Cartridge and cables all supplied in the box. Audio quality is really good with deep bass and highs coming out clearly . Played 30 year old vinyls and they sounded so natural and good. Just superb. The unit weights over 10 KG and that is a testament to the material used in its build quality . The platter is steel but most of the body and switches are engineered plastic and not metal / wood . The ONLY thing you must change is the platter mat as the supplied mat has very lean padding and changing it to a high quality mat will give you better bass notes and depth. I upgraded the supplied cartridge with an ORTOFON Red cartridge which does not break the bank. The cartridge you use plays a key role in the audio fidelity and the sound tonality. Its super important in any HiFi turntable setup.

Nice direct drive turntable in very reasonable price. However, I found the Tone Arm is very light and unstable. The TT is shipped with Pioneer cartridge which produces decent sound.

Pioneer DJ PLX-500-K - very good!
Sturdy Turn Table. I have connected it to my Sony Home Theater System, and alas - perfect music..!Please note:1. It is not like plug and play like Automatic or semi-automatic Turn Tables. You need to do some (relatively simple) setup to get it going.2. All required accessories and cables are included. My Home theater and PLX-500 are not very near, and the cable provided by Pioneer helped the gap (as well as male-female connectivity)3. It is bit heavy at 10+Kg; so install on a good, sturdy table. Use spirit level to ensure proper plater level, if required adjust it using the levelling adjustment of feet.4. I am happy with the sound - Cartridge is decent.5. Played almost 50 years old records, and got excellent playback.6. As there is no auto-stop, be prepared to depend on alternate reminder if you are into multitasking, ha, ha!7. Used for a month, listened to variety of records - Stereo, non-stereo, Western, Instrumental, Bollywood, regional, new pressing as well as more than 50years old. Very good reproduction.Good Turntable, overall very happy!
