Good replacement for the OEM cable that broke when the wires got caught in a drawer. Works as expected. Seems like it will hold up to normal use. Does not appear to get “too hot during use.

I have a 2015 pixel chromebook with a dedicated charger. The plastic that connects the actual wall plug to the charger broke while pulling it out of the socket. Chromebook no longer sells the charger, and an ebay seller wanted $50 for it, so I bought this generic Samsung charger on Amazon, as the specs were compatible. Only the original chromebook charger fits the input to the computer, so I spliced the chromebook jack to the generic Samsung charger. It was a little fussy because the generic charger had the ground wire wrapped 360 degrees around the insulation of the hot wire, and the chromebook charger had 2 separate wires inside. The chromebook charger had much thicker wire. It is very well made. I plugged it in and the chromebook showed the charge symbol. Since the generic charger had such thin wire, I hung out in the same room while it was charging, to be on the safe side. I have since used it quite a few times with no problems.
