85 K5 Blazer
This is the best Turbo 400 gasket. I had a leaky pan gasket on my 85 blazer. I didn’t want to do this job twice so I spent the money and got this gasket, I’ve used this gasket once before and it truly is the best. No more leaks and if I ever need to drop the pan, this gasket can be reused. Do yourself a favor and add a drain plug when you do this job, it will make future fluid and filter changes a breeze. If you do add a drain plug, ditch the plastic washers they come with and get copper crush washers.

Simple to install and stopped the perpetual transmission leak.
Seems like every cork or rubber transmission pan gasket I have replaced or paid someone to replace still leaked. This doesn't. Its easy to install and does not need RTV sealer, so that mess is eliminated. You will need CLEAN, FLAT surfaces on the pan and the transmission for a good seal. A bent or deformed pan will leak no matter what gasket you use. This gasket went on a TH400 in a 87 Chevy V30/K30. I reused the factory bolts...the gasket is not so thick they cant be used again. Cork and rubber gaskets suck, and if you have to do it over you will waste $35 on more transmission fluid. And this gasket is reusable so its worth the money. DON'T overtighten...bolts, according to what I read should tightened in the neighborhood of 12lb...or 144 in/lb if using a small torque wrench. I did not use a torque wrench as I have done this for years...but to describe it by feel would be "slightly more than snug". It is a good idea to tighten the bolts in a criss-cross pattern gradually. I have a habit of overtightening bolts so I paid particular attention to this. If you overtighten it will compress the gasket and/or deform the pan. Both cause leaks. Be patient when you remove the bolts....the transmission housing is aluminum and you need to make sure you work the bolt out if it is partially seized.... quick force can snap it off. And when reinstalling the bolts thread them in by hand or with a nut driver before you torque them down. if you force them in they can cross thread.

Works great for th400
Don’t waste your time with stock type gaskets. It’s ways to seal a stock gasket , but honestly not worth the effort. Spend the money on this , and if you want to save , go cheap on other areas of your car. Clean your surface and pan. Make sure it’s straight, put this on dry and torque it down. I run these on all my old school transmissions. Worth the money!

Great Product
After two different "professional repair" shops tried to correct a trans pan leak, I ordered this gasket and installed it myself. All I can say is Thanks... It works EXACTLY as advertised... VERY pleased to finally have it sealed and no longer leaking on the garage floor.

I had to replace a leaking Farpak gasket and this Moroso gasket worked well. Make sure all surfaces are clean, the pan edges are not bent and do not over tighten the bolts Very satisfied
