This is lovely to use and I hope that it is what it says 'on the tin' as that makes it even better in my eyes. It leaves the barest hint of oil on the skin, but just in a protective and moisturising sense, not greasy. The consistency is more like commercial liquid soaps than the runny Castile soaps I have used previously. I think there is the very faintest whiff of olive oil, but it most definitely doesn't leave you smelling like a salad! Others in the family say it smells of nothing. It does lather.My son had horribly red, cracked, scaly and sore hands despite using a very well known brand of Castile soap and moisturisers, but within 24hours of swapping to this soap and using some olive oil as an additional moisturiser before bed, we could see the skin improving and being able to heal. This soap is free from coconut products, unlike most Castile soaps these days, so we have wondered if perhaps he was reacting to that in the the Dr Bronner version, but even if that is the case then it would still make this olive oil based soap more hypoallergenic in my opinion.I have tried this as a shower gel and really like the feel on my skin, so will be replacing all the soap and shower gel with this.My only query is whether there are any other ingredients than organic olive oil, glycerin and soda. The way it is worded (and the previous ingredients questions was answered) leaves it unclear as to whether 'based on' means 'only contains' or not. I hope so!There was a very tiny amount of leakage between the top of the bottle and the pump on arrival, but that doesn't seem to happen when in use and vertical.

Soap itself is very good but description says "Castile Soap made in Spain ONLY..." and yet the packaging says "Made in France". Which is it? Hence three stars.

Excellent to see a Castile soap made of olive oil.

Didn’t like it. Maybe natural but it’s greasy when u using and unpleasant smell.So its definitely not from me.I wouldn’t recommend to anyone.
