Worked Well!
I used this to secure the I on my Genesis GV70 that was partially hanging off. I probably should have taken it to the dealer but I did not want to mess with that for such a little thing. I live in hot and humid, Houston, TX so I needed an adhesive that was waterproof, heat proof and would not damage my car. It’s “winter” here right now so I cannot say how well it works when it is hot. It did hold up in the car wash though! I am hoping it can withstand 100+ degree temperatures in the summer time! This adhesive is sticky enough for what I needed it for. Good price for the size tube you get. 3M normally makes great products so I have high hopes.

Effective adhesive for plastic and emblems
Working with this 3M adhesive at my workshop has been pretty straightforward. It holds plastic parts and emblems securely without any messy spills. I used it to attach a badge on my car, and it stayed put during a recent road trip 🚗. It's handy to have around for quick fixes. Definitely a product I’ll keep in my toolbox.

Great Holding Power- make sure you know what to expect and prep things correctly
So far (about two months) in mixed weather from about 65 degrees to 100 plus, rain, shine, and everything in between, this adhesive is holding the plastic door handle "cleat" onto my wife's Kia. It was designed from the factory to friction fit onto a fluted stud "poking" out of the door handle assembly, but the thin brittle plastic broke around the cylinder designed to receive the stud. I cleaned all surfaces with denatured alcohol before starting the exercise. I first glued the cleat gasket to the painted metal door (more of friction/squeak-preventer than a gasket; feeling like slippery, but hard polyethylene). I then glued the electroplated chrome plastic (hard, brittle polystyrene, maybe) cleat to the "gasket" and taped the assembly in place overnight while the adhesive set up. The next day, all of the elastic-feel in the surface bonding was gone and the plastic was tight to the metal- very tight- no twist or movement whatsoever. It felt incredibly solid, and as I wrote, after two months- still incredibly solid. NOTE: I did not realize (deficient research) that the 8061 acted like a contact adhesive so you have to pre-coat both contact surfaces, stick them together, pull them apart, wait, then REALLY stick them together. It's clear in the manufacturer's instructions (the ones I did not read before purchase). This wasn't a problem for me, just make sure you follow the appropriate steps. I also hadn't realized, that the adhesive is thin, almost watery. It WILL run and is difficult to control if you intent to "pool" it. Except where applied very thinly, it seems to retain some of the gumminess, for a long time- maybe forever. Regardless- it has excellent holding power and considering the amount of surface areas in contact for my application, I am thus far impressed. 3M- you may be pricey, but my experience is that rarely is the extra money ill-spent.

One of the more expensive adhesives, but worth it.
This 3M product costs far more than others. That being said, it’s a patented formula. A rubber strip had torn between the hood and body of my car. driving down the interstate one evening it looked like a snake whipping in the wind. I wasn’t really certain there was an adhesive that would work. This on did. 30 minutes to cure, and 24 hrs. off the interstate. A month later, and holding firm/like new. Peace of mind for about $20. Not a bad deal.

Badge Adhesive Review
I recently used this badge adhesive to attach some embroidered patches to a jacket, and I must say, I'm impressed! The adhesive is strong yet flexible, providing a secure bond that lasts. Once applied, the badges stayed in place through multiple washes and wear, which is exactly what I needed. What I particularly liked about this adhesive is its ease of use—just apply a thin layer to the back of the badge, press firmly, and let it dry. It dries clear, which is great for keeping everything looking neat. It also doesn’t leave any residue or mess once it’s dry, which is a huge plus. The only downside is that it might not work as well on certain fabrics, like very delicate or lightweight materials. It’s best to test it on a small area first. Overall, I’d recommend it for anyone looking to attach badges, patches, or similar embellishments securely.

Sticky subject
Excellent product with many uses, just be extremely careful what you put it on because it probably will not come off/apart after doing so. I have had this single bottle for over 2 years and it still performs very well.

Prepared the car and workspace exactly as the product instruction and online videos. Product is easy to use as it sticks to the back of the badges. Isopropyl alcohol on a clean surface then applied, then left in the garage for 3 weeks. Wash the car 4 weeks later and the badges just fell off even with the gentlest hand washing over them Beyond disappointed from both it being a 3M product and the high price paid. Every other 3M product I have used has offered great results, but this was total waste of both time and money
