Better quality then expected
I broke the plastic one on my utility trailer and lost the license plate with it. This is built well and looks good. I should be able to mangle a plate pretty good before. Losing it with this guy.

Good quality
Definitely heavy duty metal. My last one was plastic and broke and fell off. The license plate would break before this bracket does.

Stout, well built.
I had two license plates on my trailers stolen or lost when the plastic bracket was broken. They won't be breaking these. These are indeed heavy and as stout as an LP bracket should be on a trailer. Any heavier may be a danger in a wreck. I may could bend them with my hands, doubtful tho. These even come with nuts, washer and new bolts. The added reflective strips are a bonus.

Works on motorcycles too.
Awesome plate mount. I have it mounted on my motorcycle, about 1 inch of metal showing on each side - which is no big deal for me. Very thick metal.

Good quality, perfect for replacing the plastic ones
It fit fine on my carry-on, where I was concerned on the 1000 mile trips I was making that eventually the plastic license plate holder was going to fatigue and drop my plate on the road. Is quite sturdy, 1/8 of steel anyway, and paint on it is decent. Just a sturdy steel plate holder - how you want it to be.

Very satisfied
Just received my license plate bracket. I guess it was made for a motorcycle or something because it has a bit of an angle but two pieces of wood and a sledge hammer straightened it out for my boat trailer. I've had a plate a old friend gave me 10 years ago on every boat I've owned and every bracket on every trailer has bent like a beer can when I back the boat or pull it out of the water but this one is thick, very sturdy, made of steel, and looks to be powder coated. Don't waste your money on the aluminum one for a boat trailer. It's junk. Buy steel!
