This is a popcorn making monster. The commercial style delivery of the popcorn dictates The Vessel used to catch it. 1 scoop of popcorn makes over 2 gallons of popped popcorn. A regular size bowl is not going to be adequate. I use a 2 1/2 gallon stainless steel milk bucket with bale handle. It's high, with the handle I can angle it over and I catch pretty much 100% of the popcorn. Machine Works fantastic, the only complaints I hear about it is that it works too good. Two and a half gallons of popped popcorn or not going to fit in any average bowl that I know of.

Works like a charm. Easy to set up and easy to operate. Saw other reviews that the top was really hard to install but mine went on very well. I didn’t use the little cup on top for melting butter but left it on so the popcorn didn’t pop out. I used about 1/2 of the cup and it produced about 4-5 cups of popcorn. There were very few unpopped kernels left over. This was my first time using the product. If it has any issues later on I will update my review.

I ordered the DASH Hot Air Popcorn Popper Maker with Measuring Cup in white. I only ordered it because it was the best price I could find, however, the negative comments are definitely correct. The positives besides the decent cost is that it's effortless for prep. You have to be careful when you put the plastic top on, because I could see how easy it would be to break some of the tabs. There is a butter container if you want to melt that which I will not test because the reason I ordered this was for a healthy snack so I don't want butter. You just plug it in, put in your kernels, and press the power button and wait a few minutes. It does make popcorn fairly quickly, and this thing is quite loud. I used to have an air popper, and I don't remember that one being very loud. Some of my animals do not like this thing at all. It gets the job done but there are several negatives. This thing is crazy and has a mind of its own. This thing can shoot out alot of unpopped kernels. I have to try and gather them so I can put them back in, but they are hot and burn your fingers. Then some other unpopped kernels will come out as it pops and then a dump of them at the end. Then it seems sometimes this thing just goes completely crazy at the end and starts shooting them all over the kitchen. Then you think it's done and some more will blow up right in your face. It's absolute chaos, but it doesn't happen every time it seems. The animals think it's fabulous when a bunch of stuff falls on the floor, but I have a dog with allergies so he can't be out when this thing is on. It's also hard to find unpopped kernels that fly on the floor. However, because a lot of the good quality ones are so much more expensive, you just get what you pay for and I think it would be unreasonable to expect too much from this unit. I use this everyday and several times a day, and it does get the job done. But if I'm going to keep up this daily habit, I might need a higher quality one because this is too much extra work when I care about the unpopped kernels and grand finale kernel shootout at the end. You'll have to pick your poison to either pay alot more money for a popper that has more maturity or pay much less and deal with chaos.

So far, the popcorn maker is excellent. Just follow the instructions. I did try to make the kettle corn according to the recipes included with the popper. It came out very soggy and I ended up breaking lots of the popped kernels into bits stirring the mixture in "with tongs". I still have about a thrid of it laid out to dry (as opposed to laid out 'to cool' as it says in the recipe. However, melting the butter in the measuring cup is a nice bonus, and it's a pretty7 basic machine and works as designed.

Holy cow! This thing works great! From the box to hot popcorn in under 5 minutes! Just dump corn in and boom.. done. Easy set up, easy clean up! Love it! We bought it for my elderly father in law who wanted to make his own snacks but also needed the process to be simple.. one button operation. Prefect!

Update after fighting with the cover for one year: I finally duct taped the cover permanently to the base. Problem solved, but the design of the cover is ridiculous. Update after two months of use: I'm taking off one star because it's very difficult to put the cover on the popper. It's held on by 3 minuscule tabs that go into tiny slots. If the cover is out of shape in any way, the 3 tabs won't line up with the slots. With time, as the cover heats up and cools down, it can change shape. To counteract this, don't remove the cover until it has cooled. But actually, I had this problem with lining up the tabs from the beginning. Don't force them---they are very thin and could easily break. Very poor design! Dealbreaker? No, because there's nothing better at this price. UPDATE after one month of frequent use: This popper always leaves a circle of unpopped kernels about 1.5" in diameter in the bottom---the exact size of the grill in the bottom. I think this is because when there are no kernels above it, the remaining ones don't sit on or near the grill long enough to get hot enough to pop. I think this is a flaw but not a deal breaker. Another small design flaw is that the on/off switch is located on the "back" of the popper where you can't see it. If you're right handed, you will turn the popper so that the exit chute faces right and the bowl is on your right. This places the on/off button on the back of the popper. ORIGINAL 4-STAR REVIEW: I've only used this once and it worked fine. The popcorn came out nice and fluffy, aided by the air vents that allow steam to escape so the popcorn doesn't get soggy. Compared to my last popper, this one is slower to begin popping. The whole process took about 4 minutes, which is reasonable. I put in one-half of the measuring cup, and about 15 kernels failed to pop. That's reasonable too. These results---slow start and percentage of unpopped kernels---are consistent with reports by professional reviewers that rank it about #2 in air poppers. The price ($20) is reasonable for this product. I like that it has an on/off switch instead of having to unplug it to turn it off. The question is, how long will it last? My last popper lasted 30 years until I accidentally poured oil in it. The directions state to not let this popper run for more than 5 minutes, a hint that it could overheat.

This is very cool, it make the popcorns ready in 2 mins. Good thing no Oil needed just hot air. Smells great when the popcorns are ready.

اشتريت هذه الماكينة وشحنتها إلى السعودية. للأسف من أول استخدام الجهاز اشتعل بالنار! أطفأته وانتظرت فترة ليبرد ثم حاولت تشغيله مرة أخرى وكانت النتيجة نفسها — اشتعال مباشر. المنتج غير آمن وخطير جدًا للاستخدام. لا أنصح بشرائه نهائيًا. للأسف اكتشفت المشكلة بعد انتهاء فترة الاسترجاع.

Excelente compra Se necesita un bowl grande porque salen volando las palomitas y se pueden llegar a caer pero he notado que mientras más maíz uses (siempre cuidando de no pasar la cantidad máxima) esto pasa menos Actualización casi 3 años después, si te gustan las palomitas es la mejor inversión que puedes hacer, la uso mucho, no me ha dado problemas, hay que tener los cuidados de limpieza y todo pero no es nada difícil de mantener en buen estado

What can I say? This is a great little unit! It's a real timesaver! Does a great job on shredding cheese etc., and also like that fact that you can thinly shred potatoes, to make your own potatoe chips! Very healthy. All attachments a re included and the suction cup bottom is strong and holds well. It easy to add.remove the necessary attachments and clenup is a breeze. Price point is good and unit is excellent buy!
