Q: Can you get a 9 pack in a variety? Say 2 or 3 different flavors?

I don't see that quantity size on the Amazon website. (But you could buy multiples of smaller packs!)

Q: What is the best way to make the cider? This mix and hot water?

I mix it it with hot tea. Wonderful.

Q: is this the same mix that originally came in the black carton in updated packaging?!?

I am not sure about updated packaging but I have bought this brand every year for the last 3 years and it is the best. I usually make it with apple juice and heat it up in a crock pot. Makes a wonderful warm cider for the holiday's and it tastes amazing when mixed with spiced rum... It is always a great hit with everyone.

Q: Do you know where I can get a pot(holds water) that sits on a candle to brew the spices? I have one now but would like to get another. I like just having the spell fill the room. I do not want to use my small crock pot, more of a decorative piece.

You would be better off just to simmer the spices in water on the stove. The smell will permeate the surorunding rooms. These spices have sugar and are really for consumption. Instaead, you could simmer cinnamon sticks in water on the stove (and you could add nutmeg, apples and cloves with the cinnamon if you wished) will also give you a lovely aroma around the house.
