May not quite work for your application without some tweaking
This drain and strainer appear well made and durable. The installation is quite easy, however, you may find the push button inoperable in certain sink configurations.I'll explain. If your sink has a pronounced depression for the drain hole, it is likely the new push button will not be able to be depressed enough to be able to lock and unlock without taking the entire assembly out (which is a design feature of this drain, but only to clean the strainer, not to operate the push button.) This may only be a minor inconvenience for some, but when you are buying this to operate as a one handed push button, do you really want to pull the the thing out of the drain, operate the push button and then place it back in? Yes, that will work, and it's not difficult, but it keeps this from being a 5 star review.I bought two of these for Kohler sinks with fairly deep depressions for the drain holes. As I said, these are quite easy to install, thankfully because there are barely any directions. Once it was installed, I tried to operate the push button and nope, I could not push the button down far enough to activate the clicking mechanism, and I immediately saw the reason, as I explained above. The outer edge of the drain cap hit the raised sides of the sink drain, and could not be pressed down far enough to "click". Being a consummate do-it-yourself-er however, I was not going to give up and send these back without at least trying to make them work. And I found two techniques while doing so, since I bought two of these, which both worked. The first sink, since it was already installed, got the "screw the strainer basket back (down) as far as it can go to increase the overall length of the assembly enough to make it work" technique. This in fact increased the length of the assembly by about a 1/8 of an inch. I did also take the strainer basket off the assembly entirely and "bent" the threads of the strainer ever so slightly so the fit would be tight, and not come loose over time. I'd say this is probably a good thing to do, even if you choose the second technique as well. The second technique was to replace the supplied (fairly thin) silicon top gasket with the bottom gasket from the old drain. In my case it just happened to be a perfect fit, and the much greater thickness, raised the entire drain assembly high enough in the drain hole to reduce the "depression" effect of the sink hole. My guess is you can get something suitable at the (unnamed) hardware store of your liking, in your town.If your sink is more flat at the drain hole, you will likely have no issues at all, and you will find this a 5 star item.Overall the new drains look very nice and modern. It has the obvious benefit of removing the sink stopper mechanism from the inside of the down drain that naturally catches hair and grime and eventually gets plugged up and is #1 reason plumbers get called to clear a stopped-up drain for those not comfortable taking the drain apart and cleaning it out every so often. The strainer basket seems rather constrictive and could possibly get clogged even faster than the traditional drain stopper, but since it only requires pulling it out of the drain and dumping the contents into a trash can and rinsing it off, I'd say those plumber callers mentioned above will be happy with how easy that is.Lastly, my wife loved it and how it looked, so big win for me, and I'm glad I didn't let a minor design flaw stop me.oh, iGanja!

So much better than pull up push down rod style!
I just installed one of these drains in oil rubbed bronze. I replaced an older cheap drain that came with the Delta fixture on the sink. Installation is a breeze and I’m not a plumber just a 66 year old DIYer female. My daughter lives in New Zealand and has these push button style stoppers on her bathroom sinks. I am so tired of jacking with the pull up and push down rod style drain pop ups that are ubiquitous in the US. They rust, break, and get out of adjustment too easily, and are a pain to deal with. The hardest part of the replacement was getting the old one off. The new drain comes with everything you need. It is much better material than the cheap plastic one I took out. Also my sinks have overflows and the old drains didn’t. I never gave it any thought until I was given a choice and now I’m glad that my sink overflow will work properly now that it’s paired with the correct overflow drain. The solid metal one piece construction means one less joint in the drain assembly to deal with. I’m replacing all my lavatory sink drains with these KES push button drains. The only thing I might do differently is use plumbers putty instead of the silicone gasket that is provided to go between the trim ring and the top side of the sink as the gasket seems to make the trim ring sit up a little high and a pool of water remains in the sink around the trim ring. My understanding is to use either the silicone gasket OR plumbers putty but not both. This pooling of water may also be a function of my particular sink’s design so pooling may not be a problem for all sinks. Even with the pooling, I am so happy with this push button style of drain. Some reviews have said the drain didn’t hold water. I had this problem at first but found that making sure the little strainer basket was snugly screwed on solved that. Once the basket was snug, the drain kept the sink full of water overnight with zero leakage.I’m buying 4 more for all the other lav sinks in my house.

Nice quality fit and finish, chrome is smooth and uniform. Product was packaged well.
Nice. Replaced some plastic crap stopper assembly that came with our “high end” faucets. Granted they were in a few years - and these may only last as long. But the initial quantity and finish of these far exceed what came with $200.00+ vanity faucet so that’s a plus to start. The old units had a pull activated lever, the lever part that pushes up the stopper had been replaced a few times over the years and the sinks were a tri-monthly maintenance PIA to disassemble and remove hair. These are solid construction, fit and finish was top notch and the silicone gaskets eliminate the need for plumbers putty. Easy install, wife likes the hair trap / ease to clean. I’ll probably order replacements for the other three vanity sinks in the house and keep them on hand ready for a cold winter day stuck at home project. Honestly how often do you actually need a stopper and fill a bath room sink, it’s more to stop from dropping stuff into the hole, these look nice ( larger diameter ) and the hair basket is a huge plus - and they do actually seal up good with a silicone gasket.

Oversized drain cover does not seal properly on standard size bathroom sink drain
After a little research, I find that KES sales faucets that do not meet minimum U.S. safety certifications standards. While this is not a faucet, it is discomforting to learn that Amazon is selling products for a brand that is technically not allowed to have some of their plumbing products sold in the U.S.Now onto this pop up drain. The cover is excessively oversized, and as a result it cannot form a proper seal over the drain to stop the water from leaving the sink. It does slow the water flow, but that's not what most people buy a drain stopper to do. It's supposed to "stop" the water from leaving the sink. Stay away from all KES products, and shame on Amazon for selling this substandard product in the U.S. (or anywhere).

Good materials but doesn’t seal the drain properly
Pros:- the materials this pop up drain stopper is made of are all made of metal- Teflon tape is provided- the graphical instructions are pretty goodCons:- I had some issues with leakage under the sink initially until I used a wrench to really tighten the nut that secures the drain stopper to the sink. The graphical instructions provided seem to indicate that it can be tightened by hand. Not so if you don’t want it to leak.- I don’t know if it’s the construction of my sink or the drain stopper but some water pools around the stopper after the sink empties. This will lead to calcium deposit stains In the future.- the stopper top is pretty big. Then again, this might help to cover the calcium stains from the water pooling :)- the biggest issue I have is with the pop-up mechanism. The piece that holds the hair catcher basket also holds the pop up mechanism. The mechanism does not attach to the drain like other pop up drain stoppers do. You push the top in and all that keeps the drain closed is gravity. You can actually lift the entire mechanism while it’s popped in and emptying the sink by giving the stopper top a slight pull. As a result, with the drain closed, there is still some leakage down the drain. So if you want a drain stopper that completely seals the drain to fill the sink, I suggest that you look for a different product. I am still keeping this product I should add because I rarely need to fill the sink it was installed in with water.
