Great present for little explorers
Bought to use with my boys (4 and 2), they already had a little bug magnifying pot and are big animal/wildlife fans. They both loved that it came with a bag (and quickly argued over who got to carry it!). My favourite parts are the torch (really light to hold and my 4 year old enjoys pushing in the side bit), the binoculars (both boys enjoyed using them and seeing what they could spot), and the compass (we’ve actually had it out in the house with our atlas to find which direction different countries are from where we are sitting). The magnifying pot that comes with it folds down, which was also a lot more useful when looking at small bugs (and easy to carry in smaller bags too!). We store it in the bag rather than the box now, and it’s big enough that you can put other bits in there too (we carried a nature book with us and put items we collected on our walk in there too).

Great variety of items
This set has been useful in helping my little girl( aged nearly 6)with finding bugs, looking at the birds and just generally, being outside in nature. It has lots of items, they are all very strong, not plastic as I expected. The hat is a nice touch, although my daughter does not like to wear it as it has a strap underneath it! It will double up as a sunhat. Great product and I got it when there was a deal on it for £16.99. I'm not sure I would of paid full price. It was £20-21 approximately before the discount. A good buy to encourage children to get out and about, particularly at the moment.

Great for our lockdown walks!
Got this to keep the kids entertained during lock down!Works a treat on our daily walk / time in the garden. So many parts and all usable too!Love the bag where we can hold it all, the magnifying tub is great as well, it keeps our 7 and 2 year old entertained for a while when we’re out! Couldn’t fault this really!

Definitely worth the money
This has come so in handy with the current lockdown situation! My son is a natural explorer anyway so he loves it. It makes him feel all important putting the outfit on and sorting through the bits and bobs in the bag.He loves to pack it all up, head round the garden and when he spots a bug etc he stops gets out what he needs and explores it!Great little kit and definitely worth the money

Perfect for intrepid bug hunters
My grandson loves bugs, spiders and all manner of creepy crawlies. This was the perfect gift for him. The contents of the pack are totally geared towards searching for, investigating, studying and then releasing the little critters back into the garden or park. The backpack holds everything safe and sound. He found out for himself that the best way of seeing things through the binoculars was by looking through the small eyepieces rather than the big ones but hey, it's all part of exploration!

Well received by 8year old boy.
I bought this for my 8 year old grandson's birthday. He was very pleased with it. He enjoyed opening up all the contents and talking about what he could do with them. He played happily in the garden. Looking for insects and putting soil and leaves into the pot to look at with the magnifying glass. The hat fitted well and he packed all the items into the back pack. A good buy.

Grandson loves the kit
Bought this for young grandson to use during lock down, he loves the kit and keeps frightening his mam with the plastic bugs, he especially likes the hat. There is a good selection of items better than many kits and I think this would be popular with boys and girls over a good age range.
