SUPER thick
Works well, I need to add water to thin it out. Good color though, very opaque.

Not just your ordinary white acrylic paint
This paint is thick and covers so much better than the watered down ones I buy at Walmart. Plus its price is reasonable.

Great entry level/beginner paint!
Hard to beat the price! The paint REALLY needs to be shaken before you open it otherwise it is a inconsistent thickness and opacity. But no matter what it is thick, and if you do not spread it out evenly on the canvas it will crack. You will have plenty of paint if you have a small class to share it with. If you add water to thin the paint it seems to lay more evenly. It is a fine paint for beginner painting and is fine for learning with. The colors blend well and pop on the canvas. It's a basic acrylic paint! What you see is what you get. For practice and repetition, learning brush skills, this is a no brainer. I will buy this paint again for craft parties and small classes where I'm supplying the paint for everyone.

Best paint
I do Dutch pour painting and for those who aren’t familiar with it, you have to thin out your paint. With ALL Sax true flow heavy body acrylic paint I am absolutely thrilled with the thickness because it lasts me a very long time. The colors are incredible and do exactly what you want them to do! Coverage is impeccable no matter how you paint. I’m dedicated to the brand itself not to mention the colors, ALL OF THEM especially metallics. No matter what technique of painting you do I personally recommend Sax True Flow Heavy Body Acrylic Paints!!

MAKES FOR A GREAT WHITE-WASH for Abstract Paintings
I’ve used many inexpensive titan whites for the sole purpose of washes for my artwork, and this ones the best for the money, no doubt. I use pro quality acrylics for my brush to medium approaches and try to save a buck when it comes to my white washes and the ratio is but 1 part paint to 8 parts water (give or take). This saves me a ton especially as washes are a key element to my recent large scaled abstracts... can’t go wrong, and if you haven’t tried washes with your bracts, you ought to try! Happy painting...

The pictures do NOT show true color
I was really torn on how to rate this product. I was excited for the paints to arrive but very disappointed when they did. I should have listened to the reviewer who said the gold is green. It definitely is! For my purposes, it's useless as a gold. While we're at it, the silver is more pewter and the copper is extremely copper, which I don't mind. But I don't think these are good for beginners. The paint seems to be good quality, but the colors need too much correction. That said, if you're really good at mixing colors and like metallics these could be a good choice for you. I pretty much ONLY use these as pearlescent mediums for mixing metallic colors. In this capacity, I've been SUPER happy with this paint set. The "gold" combines nicely with phthalo blue to create a stunning metallic teal, or with light green to create a beautiful peridot. The "silver" added to magenta gives a lovely plum color, and the copper mixed with red makes a deep shimmering auburn. You get the idea. So, if you're an artist who wants a great deal on highly mixable metallics, I would recommend this paint set. If not, keep looking because you'll probably end up disappointed.
