I've been using this fragrance since the '80s and buying it whenever I can find it. This EDT doesn't smell the same as what I've bought in the past. I used to buy the EDP, and EDPs often smell different from weaker formulations, or perhaps the ingredients have changed over the years. (It does happen.) But it's not what it used to be.Whatever the explanation, the powdery note is still there, but this is a much sweeter, less woody, and less rose-like version of what I remember. It smells too much like L'Aimant – frankly, cheap. It's the kind of fragrance you might get in a body spray or baby powder. I'd probably never have identified it as Ombre Rose if I hadn't known what it was, and I won't be buying it again. Judging by recent reviews on fragrance sites, I'm not alone in thinking it's missing the wood notes that made it quite a complex fragrance, and being disappointed by that.

Dis't realise till it arrived it was Eau de toilette not eau d'parfum but like it anyway.... I'll just use it faster

have loved this perfume for years and paid a lot for it in the past. In recent years it hasn't been that easy to find, especially in the stores so was over the moon to find it on this site and for such an unbelievably reasonable price. I am more than happy.

I love this fragrance because it is subtle and reminds me of the happy times when I first bought it several years ago in Canada.Not easy to get in UK shops but very pleased to find it on Amazon.

Beautifully balanced fragrance, not sickly sweet or overpoweringly rosy. I would like it to have a longer staying power.
