Super impressed with this screen protector, it was easy to apply, looks great and keeps glare and fingerprints away, and feels great for gaming and drawing.

Great high quality protector and amazing matte look! It feels nice and comes with everything you need to install it along with instructions. Definitely worth the cost. My only critiques are that the edges of the protector (especially near the camera) can have little bubbles that can’t be pressed out and it only comes with one alcohol prep pad when two would be more convenient for a screen this big. Although these critiques are minor. The matte look also helps a lot with anti glare, I took some pictures with shadow and sunlight to help show the effect. Also, the customer service is fantastic. I accidentally ordered the wrong type of screen protector (I ordered iPad Pro 11-inch M1-M3 when I needed M4-M5) and I emailed the listed email on a card that came with the product. Not only did they get back to me within 24 hours, but they also helped ensure that they knew the exact model of my iPad, and sent me a replacement that delivered in around 2 days, all free of charge.

I don’t often write reviews, but I’m so impressed with this screen protector I just have to let everyone know. First of all, I absolutely *hate* screen protectors. I buy them constantly and recognize them as a necessary evil for all our family’s various gadgets. Phones, Nintendo Switches, tablets, you name it... I’ve bought screen protectors for them. But I always hate them because they are never just right. The edges are too sharp, the fit isn’t perfect, the surface is too slick or shiny, or they have terrible bubbles. So it was with great trepidation and resigned fate that I ordered a screen protector for my new iPad Air 4. Before I even got the tablet in, I ordered a no-name plastic “paperlike” clone. I installed it, hated it, and peeled it right back off within minutes. I was worried about my spiffy new tablet’s screen, however, so I went back to Amazon and started searching. And searching. And searching. I stumbled upon this screen protector, the Mothca Matte, and ordered it even though it was more expensive than the others. It’s amazing. I mean, literally amazing. The satin texture is so subtle that you don’t even think about it until you realize that you really don’t need to wipe the fingerprints off your screen because there aren’t any. I’m a heavy user of the Apple Pencil 2, and this screen protector makes writing and drawing a real joy. It’s not like writing on paper, but it’s way better than writing on slick glossy glass. It’s perfect. Installation? Dead simple. I admit that I install more of these things than most people, but even so it’s sometimes a challenge to get it lined up and bubble-free. Not this time. Installation was effortless and it turned out absolutely perfect. I did end up with a very slight tilt to the angle of the protector, but it’s off by less than a millimeter, completely un-noticeable by anyone except me. Given that I did the installation by the light of a flashlight at my kitchen table after a very casual wipe-down, I’m ecstatic with the results. If you are looking for a solidly awesome not-too-slippery screen protector for your iPad.... here it is. The slight matte finish doesn’t blur your screen like the plastic films do. I won’t have to worry about scratches, and the stylus feels more natural and responsive. Get this screen protector. Update: Added photo; yes this is still an awesome screen protector! Edit Septemter 15, 2021: I'm getting ready to trade my iPad Air in for a new iPad Mini 6, and I'm hoping to find this same screen protector for that too. After all this time, the screen protector is still perfect and I couldn't be happier with it. It's awesome. Probably the best bang-for-the-buck gadget purchase I've ever made.

I love matte screen protectors. This one has great quality and feels incredibly smooth. There is a bit of graininess but it is not nearly comparable to other matte/paper-like screen protectors. I will say it is easily prone to chipping. After applying, there was a small hair under the protector I wanted to remove. Even gently lifting the protector (and not even bending it), it started to chip where I had lifted it. It’s not too bad but definitely could be improved.

Installation was easy, based on following the instructions. There were a few air bubbles, but I just lifted the corner nearest to them and was able to push them out. I like how this is a good balance between the super reflective glass of the screen and the super gritty, paperlike screen protectors. It definitely has more of a matte appearance, but is still smooth to the touch. It's slightly paler than the screen visually, but not in a way that affects the display quality that much. I'm still pretty new to using an ipad and apple pencil, but I did notice I like the feeling of drawing with this protector on way more than I like it on just the glass screen. If you take notes or draw on your ipad, then I think this protector is good value for the price.

**UPDATE (5/5/2020)** I contacted the Motha Support page on Facebook through Facebook messenger, and got a response within about four hours! Support was helpful and apologized for the mixup, sent me a new screen protector within a few days. The new one is actually matte (uploaded a photo of it for comparison). As for reviewing the actual product (now that I have it): Installation was relatively straightforward and went well! I did it in the bathroom and instead of running a hot shower, I just used a spray bottle to spray water and I figure it eliminates dust about the same way as steam would. (Our bathroom connects to the master bedroom so I think any steam would just escape) No bubbles at all! The feel of the matte screen is really smooth and silky, and it definitely helps with fingerprints. I primarily purchased this because I use my iPad for school and the Apple Pencil gliding over a really slick glass screen protector was giving me wrist cramps. I wanted something that would provide a bit more resistance than a polished glass surface, but I didn't want to get the plastic Paperlike (also because I heard it eats up the nibs really fast, and that it feels more like writing on fine grit sandpaper.......). I also wanted the screen protector to be glass for more protection. The feedback that the matte screen provides for the pencil is VERY subtle, certainly not a sandpaper feeling, but it is there and sufficient for my purposes. For reference, with physical materials I typically use fountain pens which often glide very smoothly over paper as well, so I'm used to getting subtle feedback when writing. There is a bit of the rainbow-y grainy effect with the screen but I don't mind it that much - I don't need 4K resolution while taking notes anyways and it's not terribly noticeable. **OLD REVIEW (5/1/2020)** Unsure if I just got a defective product, but the screen protector I received is perfectly smooth like a pane of glass, not matte at all. This seems like false advertising and I'm really disappointed - even the packaging said "matte screen protector" but as you can see from the image, it's about as smooth, shiny, and reflective as any normal glass screen protector. Not sure where the "matte" is supposed to come in, this isn't matte at all.

After I left my review, the customer service contacted me and sent me the new screen protector. They said the one I got is just the regular one and I guess Amazon warehouse made a mistake. The new one that I received is actually an anti-glare screen protector. However, it is not 100% anti-fingerprint but still improves a lot on the fingerprint. The film itself is very nice. It is easy to install as I mentioned it before and it is "tempered glass with anti-glare" which is pretty hard to find in the market. It is good quality screen protector and I'm satisfied with it so far. I just wish it doesn't leave my fingerprints, but I can't complain because I love anti-glare film and this one is actually anti-glare glass! Okay...it's easy to install and pretty straightforward to do. Just make sure you get rid of dusts before you install..if you get a bubble, dont press hard but simply peel it a little bit then put it back... My issue is the anti-glare/anti-fingerprint part. I ordered this because it says "anti-glare and anti-fingerprint, matte tempered glass" I thought it could be an amazing product, i never seen anti glare glass film before. It is definitely NOT a matte nor anti glare film.......I still had a hope....maybe it could be anti-fingerprint??? Not really! It's defining better than a raw ipad pro screen. It reduces finger prints though (50% less unless you put some kinds of cream or oil on your hand..but if you have sweaty hands...then no, dont get this) and much easier to get rid of fingerprints with a cloth. This screen protector is definitely NOT anti-fingerprint nor matte nor anti-glare. It is not. It is just a glass, worse than tempered glass probably. I've been using ONLY anti-glare products before - laptop, my phone, smart watch, everything. I hate fingerprints. I dont think i can return this since I already installed on my ipad, but I really don't recommend if you guys are thinking about "anti glare matte film". **** i havent tried its sensitivity with apple pencil yet since i havent received the pencil.

If it installed properly, it would probably be a nice screen protector, as I love the matte finish especially when working under bright indoor lighting and the anti-glare feature works well. Unfortunately, this screen protector left me with multiple large air bubbles under the screen that were impossible to get rid of without removing the protector. Following the installation instructions, I lifted it partially and was able to get most of the air bubbles out...but not all of them. Additionally, where I lifted it to remove the air bubbles, it does not want to stay adhered to the iPad. Looking like it will have to be replaced pretty soon as it is very annoying to have one side of the protector lifting from the surface. This is a fairly frustrating screen protector to install, and I can't say that I had a positive experience (i've gone through multiple screen protectors on multiple devices, including multiple on this iPad looking for the best experience, and this is one of the few that refused to install correctly). If you can install it correctly, it's probably good value for money. Fit wise, it's perfect for a 2020 iPad Pro.

Perfectly packaged, smooth feel and very easy to use.

I happened to stumble upon this item when looking for an alternative to the usual matte film type protectors and decided to give it a try. SO glad I did! The screen protector looks and feels fantastic! It is a super smooth surface that limits fingerprints and diffuses glare with hardly any impact on clarity. SO much better than the usual paper film type protectors. I write on my iPad Pro extensively and the experience is great! Just the write texture...not gritty like others. Your palm glides nicely when writing with the pen. The pen is super responsive and makes writing effortless. Love watching media content without having to see myself on the screen. I have installed so many protectors and found the install to be easy with the provided install frame. Had no issues fitting my case on with the protector installed. EXTREMELY impressed with this wonderful product. Definitely the best matte protector available, period! Would highly recommend!!

Absolutely what I wanted on a screen protector. Fits perfectly and reduces oily fingerprint markings significantly. Anti glare is also fantastic and the matte finish is great. Was also pleasantly surprised with the included glass protector for the camera lenses.

Gleichzeitig bleibt das Display gut ablesbar und Fingerabdrücke fallen kaum auf. Die Folie liess sich sauber aufbringen und sitzt tadellos. Fazit: Wer eine Schutzfolie sucht, die Reflexionen minimiert, komfortables Schreiben ermöglicht und dabei hochwertig wirkt – dieser Kauf lohnt sich auf jeden Fall.

There are a lot of bubbles on it and stickers that were supposed to prevent the screen protectors from falling on the table do not stick well. Eventually it got dirty and can no longer be used. So in the end I wasted my money.
