im still waiting in the break of the weather but the over sturdiness of this is good. its solid and looks as though it will stand the test of time. i will update once i have installed it

This overpriced bit of metal works! We have had part of a winter with this in place and i am happy to say that it has lasted, the fence and post are still in place!It was easy to install and didn't take very long. It is large and quite heavy, despite this it arrived very well packaged and in perfect condition.

Used them on fence posts that had loosed in gales.

Used this to repair a rotting fence post. Very quick and easy to install - I think it took me longer to get the drill out than install it.Been up for a couple of months now and seems to be secure enough. Hopefully it will last for many years. I'd use them again

This is the second time that I have bought this product to stabilise fence post loosened by the wind and rain (I don't think that they would work that well on rotten posts), they work well with minimal work required to install. Just dig a hole in front to the level of the concrete base, make sure that the post is upright, slide the spike down the post and hammer into the ground with a club hammer drill pilot holes and fix with screw bolts, the 2 Ithat I fitted took less than 15 minutes each.

Although expensive, they are very heavy and large so I do understand price. Not easy to hammer into ground without additional support or second person to assist holding broken fence post. No returns policy so make sure meets your needs before purchase.

A fence post broke just above the ground and the concrete around the part in the ground is huge so I did not want to have to dig this out. I have never seen these before and I baulked a bit at the price (especially the postage) but the reviews seemed good so I thought I would give it a go.Delivery was very fast, several days before the expected date so 5 stars there. It is a heavy piece of metal so I can now justify the cost of this.It doesn't come with fixings but sourcing the M10 Coach screws with a waterproof coating was easy and cost about £8 for the number needed. A hefty block of timber on the cross piece and a reasonably sized hammer drove it in to the ground very easily and the screws fitted well. It is a bit awkward driving these in with the central rib as I had to use a wrench so a screw head might be better (we live and learn don't we). A stone knocked it slightly out of true so a couple of the holes at the bottom didn't quite align with the post but it is still very sturdy. About 20 minutes to install and I am very happy with how sturdy the fence is once again. I estimate this has saved me a days work.Will it last long. I think so, it just depends how the post survives the weather, I think the post will go before the bracket!I highly recommend this to anyone who wants to avoid digging out old posts.
