Easy cleaning, perfect baking
Fantastic baking dish. Large size is perfect for tartiflette, lasagna, or mac & cheese! Best thing is its ease of cleaning; I’ve never had anything baked on that wasn’t easily wiped off with a cloth or kitchen scraper.

Emile Henry & Peugeot Appolia comparison & the Breville BOV900BSS Smart Oven
I bought this Emile Henry dish here on Amazon to bake in my Breville BOV900BSS Smart Oven. The dish I received seems to be of excellent quality and I appreciate that it is freezer to oven safe, dish washer safe (not that i would do that often) and is oven, microwave, and broiler safe to 500°F. However, the dish only fits in my Breville countertop oven "Bake/Roast Level 6" diagonally with difficulty as its exterior measurement (including handles) is 16.25 inches long and 10.3125 wide. (Oven Bake/Roast level interior is 16" long and 12" wide.) Because of this difficulty fitting the dish into my Breville I also bought the Peugeot Appolia 16in dish (However the Satin Black color was unavailable on Amazon at time of my purchase so had to buy it directly from peugeot-saveurs.) The Peugeot Appolia dish has the same basic quality characteristics as the Emile Henry except it is not broiler safe and only withstands temperatures up to 482°F. (The Emile Henry has a proprietary clay blend fired at very high temperatures and formulated to withstand direct radiant heat, like a broiler element.) However, the advantage the Peugeot Appolia has for me is that it holds 16 oz more than the Emile Henry (filled Emile Henry with water and then poured it into the Appolia and was then able to pour in 16 oz more water) and because its exterior dimensions are 16" long and 10.75" wide it fits perfectly into my countertop Breville oven. So, my conclusion is both are excellent high-quality ceramic dishes. (Note: Ceramic heats slowly and distributes heat uniformly across the entire dish, so less risk of burning the bottom while the top is underdone. Metal pans heat fast and unevenly. Glass heats unevenly and can spike in temperature. Ceramic stays steady & holds heat longer than metal or glass. Ceramic glazes are smooth and low‑stick without coatings that may wear off over time. Ceramic never flakes, peels, releases fumes, degrades, or exposes bare metal, and it lasts decades - so to me it is worth the extra price.) If you need a dish that is oven & broiler safe to 500°F go with this Emile Henry dish. If you want a dish that is oven safe to 482°F and holds 16oz more than the Emile Henry and yet has smaller exterior dimensions, allowing it to fit in the countertop Breville BOV900BSS Smart Oven, then then go with the Peugeot Appolia. Which is "better" depends on how you personally plan to use the dish and what's important to you.

This is a beautiful baking dish
I've been limping along using an older aluminum 13x9 pan for lasagne for years. I always have to put it on a cookie sheet because the pan is too shallow. No longer! I finally decided enough was enough and bought this incredible lasagne dish. I've used it three times already. It's deep enough that nothing bubbles over, it's just the right size to do three across in terms of lasagne noodles. And clean-up? Soak it in hot water and soap for 5-10 minutes, and everything just wipes out. I didn't even need to run it through the dishwasher, although it would stand up to dishwashing just fine. I wasn't sure about the red, but now I really like it. I also like the raised ends which make it so easy to grab and move around. I'd give this as a gift - filled with fun ingredients for casseroles or maybe a large cake or batch of brownies. It's versatile, strong, and looks great. Call me a happy camper with this purchase.

Very high quality and quick delivery.
This is a high quality baking pan. I purchased this as a gift for my daughter as she asked for a good lasagna pan. I read reviews and this was a top pick.

Perfect for making deep lasagna but the handles are a bit fragile
I received the dish from UPS and the box was slightly dented on one end. Upon opening the box, I found several layers and sizes of bubble wrap; however, as you can see in the picture, one ceramic handle had broken during shipping. I immediately contacted amazon and they shipped a replacement which arrived in perfect condition 2 days later. The feel of the pan is substantial. It is heavy enough to require the use of both hands to slide it in and out of the oven when filled with lasagna. I found that it heated uniformly and baked the lasagna perfectly within the time suggested in the recipe. The dish is pretty enough to serve directly from it during the meal and the extra depth of the dish allowed plenty room for a 4th layer without the sauce bubbling out of the dish in the oven. The inside is covered in a smooth ceramic glaze and this made removing the individual portions so easy. I only lightly greased the sides before assembling the ingredients and the lasagna slid out effortlessly without a mess. Clean up was just as easy. I think you should try this if you are serious about making lasagna - just give yourself a few extra days to receive a replacement in case the first pan arrives broken.

Best pan for Lasagna
This is a great pan for casseroles and lasagna. The only downside is that it is somewhat heavy and challenging to wash/ dry and also to work with when full. It is a bit expensive, but I think worth it. This is the kind of pan for a lifetime. It is also very classy looking.

I was delighted that I finally got a big enough casserole dish (13" x 9") that could cook recipe portions for my family of 6, and can be used from the oven to the dining table. It fitted perfectly into my oven. I like the simple and elegant design of the handmade creamy white dish. The smooth, curved handles at the sides are very practical and makes it easy to transfer from oven to counter or the dining table. Although it was sold as a Lasagna Dish, I have also used it for baking, roasting and steaming. It is extremely easy to clean after use because of the smooth glaze. The only thing I wish it has is a lid, but that is easily solved with Cling Wrap or aluminium foil. It is a fantastic complement for any kitchen.

ce n est pas ça, les dimensions du plat devraient se faire à partir des anses, et non du plat donc nul!!!

Perfect for Lasagne, chicken roasts. Easy to clean. The firm grip on the bottom prevents sliding of the dish on oven-countertops-glass surfaces. Very satisfied with the product,

I received this large rectangular casserole dish in perfect condition. The bottom had red streaks on it for some reason but that can't be seen unless you're washing the dish so its no big deal. I purchase Emile Henry over other brands because of the reviews here and elsewhere online. It is reviewed higher than le creuset (which is now made in China) and staub and I hope the dish I received stands the test of time. The dish is deep and I love that. I chose red and it's a beautiful, vibrant yet tasteful red. I've used it once already and plan to use it often. I also purchased the salt cellar by Emile Henry and will likely buy the smaller square casserole dish in twilight at some point as well.
