Great except O2 monitoring only available while you sleep
PULSE OX / BLOOD oxygen: ordered this to monitor my COVID symptoms, and the blood oxygen is only available while you are sleeping (as automatically detected by the device and the mobile app) I have not found a way to change this setting and have it monitor constantly or on-demand.Other than that, the typical fitness tracker features work well, and the data is easy to view and analyze in the mobile app. Heart rate, step count, etc seem fairly accurate, and heart rate tracks in real time, easy to see by opening that feature. Some features like “body battery” and “stress levels” are interesting but feel a bit gimicky with no clear information about how those stats are actually calculated. Sleep tracking is also interesting, but missing big chunks due to charging the device at night every few days.Battery life lasts several days on a single charge, though it does take several hours of charging when it eventually runs out (and cannot be used to track while it’s charging of course)“Smart watch” features are minimal - the screen is too small to show full notifications, but it’s sometimes nice to have the vibrating alert on my wrist that lets me know I’m receiving a phone call when my phone is on silent. Phone calls cannot be answered from the watch - there is no speaker or microphone.

Small wristband, satisfied with product.
The screen gets scratched very easily. I would advise to purchase a screen protector. I'm 178 lbs, my wrist is on the last three holes of the wrist band. If your wrist is bigger than mine, this wristband will be too small. The sole purpose of this watch was for heart monitor and sleep pulse oximeter. The battery last three days. If I turn off pulse oximeter, then it should last much longer. I am not sure how accurate the step counter is, this morning it said I walked 400 steps, all I did was walk to the bathroom three times. My coworkers watch said 3,500 steps and mine were 7,500, we had worked together the whole day. I dont really count steps. I prefer to turn on gps and track my mileage and use a separate app to compare. With the GPS turned on it is accurate, if you activate the walking activity tracker. In the shower the buttons are useless if its wet, not sure how swimmer's could use this to select options. Overall, my purchase was refurbished and a 40% discount. It was brand new, looks like it wasn't touched. I am satisfied with the purchase, because it serves my original purchase requirements.

Good tracker, but possibly untrustworthy sleep data
I've had my Garmin Vivosmart 4 for about 2 weeks now, and it's been great overall. I had been increasing my activity levels, but it's helped me track things, and I can connect the app to Strava to get heart rate and step cadence info on my walks and runs. The one negative is that I don't know how much I can trust the sleep data. Sometimes it seems reasonable, and other times I know it's not accurate because I know I was awake when it says I was supposedly asleep. For example: just the other night, I didn't sleep well. I only slept about 3.5 hours, but the app says 7.5. I mean, I might've been in bed that amount of time, but I wasn't asleep

Great product - like the O2 feature
When researching fitness trackers, this Garmin Vivosmart 4 was one of the only ones that could monitor oxygen levels (without having to purchase an expensive smartwatch). I have had it now for 2 months and have no complaints. I have compared both the heart rate and oxygen with a finger pulse O2 monitor and the reading are typically consistent within a few numbers, which is pretty good for measuring from the wrist and not the finger. Keep in mind that it doesn't measure O2 all day, but through the night when sleeping. However, with a few swipes, you can take an instant reading. Also note that when the unit is set to measure oxygen through the night, the battery is drained faster. I find that it will need to be recharged every two to three days.

Stopped working about a month after getting it
I was really looking forward to this for upcoming runs. I got to use it for a month and it stopped working altogether. I would hook it up to the charger, it just never started again. It's completely dead. I realize it was "renewed" but it should still work. Isn't that the idea? I wish I could get my money back but I know I can't, so hopefully this will warn anyone else intending to buy anything like this that is "renewed" (I think they mean "refurbished") and save them some money. Don't do it.

Accurate, helpful measurement
Device, app UI, measurements are all great. Garmin is supposed to have one of the most calorie counts of all apps. Two major cons: does not track HIIT or crossfit workouts; Leaves big red welts on my wrist every day and there is no way to replace the strap to something more comfortable

Best bang for my dollar
I've owned an apple watch and multiple models of fitbit smart watches and this is by far the best for the money and specific to the things I'm interested in tracking. The features of stress monitor, body battery, sleep, intensity and being slim enough to where it doesn't bother me when I sleep are exactly the items related to physical and mental health that made this purchase the best value. Love it. And if you truly are looking for something to help monitor data related to your health vs. being an extension of your phone this is it.

Great deal refurbished - accuracy is questionable vs Garmin ForeRunner, etc.
I have been a Garmin user for years now, primarily relying on the ForeRunner series of running watches. I wanted a device that had advanced sleep tracking and pulse ox monitoring as well, and for the price, the VivoSmart option seemed like the best way to go, since I didn't want a new running watch. Overall, the new and enhanced features are great, and the accuracy of pulse monitoring, etc. seems comparable to my ForeRunner. Sleep tracking is where the two seem to diverge. My general sleep trend with the ForeRunner's tracking was usually a 60/40 or 70/30 split in favor of deep vs light sleep, and pulse monitoring showed a consistent pulse measure throughout the night. The VivoSmart skews widely the other way, with far more micro swings in heart rate measure, and far more 'light' sleep than deep or even REM sleep. So - just be prepared to have a completely different picture of your sleep with a device like this vs. a device without 'advanced' sleep tracking if you're considering using one of these. Being able to compare 2 devices side by side will give you a more average picture of your sleep.

Me encanta
