But, this is suitable for both general purpose cooking like light soy sauces and for richer dipping sauces like dark soy sauces. **Q: Is this brewed/fermented naturally or made using hydrolysis?** A: Fermented **Q: What is the expiration date on the 20oz. bottle of Kimlan Soy Sauce?** A: Obviously, the expiration date will vary depending upon when you buy it. But my current bottle of Kimlan expires on 05/02/2016, which is a bit over a year from when I purchased it.
