Nice large screen and adjustable
This is a great product. I was looking for a light to be able to deal with the winter blues. This does help. It's a large size on a stand and it's adjustable.

Light Therapy
It's a nice product! I would like to see a version with a longer, more flexible stand.

A must have when sunlight is limited!
I've had mine for 2 years now. It definitely helps with the effects of SAD and the fatigue I go through year round from lack of sunlight. After LongC*"id hit and I never recovered from the effects of it, this light has been a daily added must have. I bought one for my grandson also because he was brought back from a cardiac arrest and isn't able to play sports anymore so he's in front of a computer most days, not outside. He gave me the side eye at first when I set it up but I see him using everyday as well. 😁I highly suggest this Carex lamp over smaller, less expensive ones which aren't as bright and overall effective.

Works, but not the best quality
The lamp does work & actually does seem to help my mood as the days get shorter & darker. It is also one of the few that has enough height to be set up to shine down on you from overhead*** - the way SAD lamp light is meant to be applied. However, it includes a lot of plastic and as other reviews state, may not last very long. An irritation from the get go is that the power cord does not stay securely attached to the screen. Any slight pull or knock will disengage it.*** I place mine on a table that is the same height as the arm of the chair I'm sitting in. If you instead prefer to use it at a desk or a table, you may need to raise the device somehow to have the light come from overhead.

Really an amazing light to have
These were great for seasonal affective disorder, but they are also a wonderful light to have on while you’re doing craft, sewing, anything where you need to see clearly.

I wanted to like this product, but poor quality and poor customer service. Excellent until it breaks.
I wanted to like this product. As a light therapy device, it meets the recommended criteria of 10,000 LUX at a reasonable specified distance, height adjustable, overhead angled light, zero/low UV, non-LED bulbs (LED potentially unsafe at that strength), glare and flicker-free, and a large light box (to ensure you are still in the treatment zone if you move your head). Unfortunately, it is of poor quality and the Carex customer service is terrible. The light worked great for about 4 days, then one bulb died. I carefully followed the instructions provided to remove the plastic cover and remove the bulb. It was challenging to remove the plastic cover and then I was unable to remove the dead bulb. It was stuck and I feared breaking glass if I used any more force. I was able to remove one of the other bulbs, so I know I was doing it correctly.Over the course of an entire week, I tried calling Carex customer service several times a day during their business hours. No answer on their consumer customer service line and no one returned my voicemail messages. After may attempts, I finally reached a customer service rep on their medical professional line. She said she was brand new at the job and the only thing she could do was offer to email me the same instruction manual I already had. I asked to speak to a technical support person and she said she would get back to me. It's been several more days and no word. Still no return calls from my other voicemail messages. I then finally again reached a rep at their medical professional line. The next woman couldn't provide help either. I asked about their warranty and the woman would not provide any concrete information. If it wasn't for Amazon's return policy, I would be out several hundred dollars. Fortunately, this product died within the 30 day return window with Amazon. I had hoped to get some trouble shooting help from the manufacturer, but customer service was terrible. I would have just replaced the dead bulb if I could have removed the old bulb. I would have retuned the unit for a new one if I trusted Carex would stand by their product should it become defective outside the Amazon 30 day return window.I don't know of another manufacturer of light therapy boxes that meets the recommended tech specs by the research. Hopefully another manufacturer will improve on the design and build quality and stand behind their products with a clear warranty and excellent customer service. As an added "bonus", I am unable to disassemble the giant device to fit back into it's original packaging. Plastic components snapped together in the initial assembly, but now there is not a way to take them apart. So I will be shipping this product back in a larger box I will go out to buy and hope for the best. Terrible.

Forget the stand. Get yourself a monitor or TV arm.
The way this lamp is used correctly is improvisation. The lamp already uses VESA style dimensions to fixate the lamp. First thing one does is remove that thing. The second thing is buy a good enough monitor arm. Raise it as high as possible, if needed you need to buy a generic VESA accessory to make it rise higher and adjust the height. What you are looking for is to try to match the angle of the sun in your room assuming your room faces East. When in the second half of November issues start follow whatever you're prescribed. I'm not a licensed doctor to prescribe anything, but bear in mind that most probably doctors are clueless.I had to import this thing in Europe because the European market has very weak devices. Now I am trying to experiment by doubling the light so I may be located at a more reasonable distance. For a 1 meter distance away from this lamp expect around 2k Lux. That's good enough, you'll have to adjust your prescription to compensate for less light.A cloudy day is perhaps brighter, but not always. I've seen 3-4k at noon on a cloudy day. So 2 such lamps from 1 meter would be around 4-5k lux. Please avoid staring at the lamp from a short distance, the instructions are quite clear you don't want to stare at this lamp from very close by.
