PENN ELCOM Under Desk Lockable Laptop Drawer (376mm x 446mm x 55mm)

I used this product to move my work laptop under the desk and clear the desk. I hate clutter and wanted a place to store my 15” work laptop and USB C dock. It has convenient cable management entry points to feed cables through.It’s fitted with four included screws, I mounted mine into a thick solid oak work top and it has been flawless.The tray slides in and out easily and I imagine the built in lock could be useful for certain people, i haven’t used it yet but when trying to lock you have to make sure the drawer is fully pressed into position, I’ve found you can usually give it one more push after closing to make it fully shut.The fitting template was useful and accurate. Overall it has been a fantastic addition to my office and has tidied the desk drastically.

This provided the perfect solution to my increasingly overcrowded home-office desk. Now that I have 2 large monitors and a docking station, I needed somewhere to "hide" the laptop. Installation was a bit tricky as I had to install it onto the underside of the desktop - it would be much easier if you could turn the desk upside down and work downwards but I did not want to clear the desk of all my equipment. The answer was to make a carboard template (the box this item came in would do) to mark out the screw mounting positions, then tape this underneath the desk before drilling the 4 x mounting holes. Worked a treat.The tray has plenty of room for my laptop and slides out smoothly and easily. There is even a handy lock to keep it secure. Very impressed by this product - perfect for any home office set-up.

This product is exactly what I needed. I didn’t want my laptop on my desk all the time as it would take up space. I went with this product in the hopes of something that would work for me and it has.This product came well packaged and assembly was pretty straight forward. However when attaching it to my desk we had to flip it upside down as it was very difficult to do otherwise. Therefore, if you have many things on your desk be prepared to take it all off for this product.However, when assembled and fitted to the desk it has done the job smoothly with no damage over the past 6 months of having it.I would recommend this product to people with small desks or just want to clear space of their desk.

I use this to tuck my laptop away under my home desk, so I can use it as a 'server' attached to a large screen and a wireless keyboard & mouse.Every morning I slide it out, turn the laptop on, and slide back, where it stays for the rest of the day.It was relatively easy to mount (there's a paper template) and it's sturdy. It's also lockable if you're going away or want to keep others from accessing your laptop!

As others have suggested I found I could not open the drawer fully due to a jammed slide mechanism. If they company actually checked the product they were sending out then the end consumer would not see this issue. I had to bend a bit of metal back inside the mechanism to allow it to slide a bit more freely but it is still stiff.Another issue is trying the slide the drawer in to just the right spot to allow the lock mechanism to locate correctly. You (manufacturer) should really put an end stop in here to ensure the drawer lines up with lock properly.Too much grease in the sliders too! WHY???!!! I had to wash my hands of all the grease and wipe it all down as grease gets everywhere. Why would you do this? I assume this is their way of fixing the stiff mechanism?This could be a great product, but it is let down by obvious quality control issues and poor design.

Super solid with smooth mechanism. Fitting template made install easy (circa 5-10mins). Perfect size (went for 350mm wide) and no chance of hitting my knees on it. Pretty amazing value for money - highly recommended

This was a cheap desk I was modifying to make it more feature rich for gaming & streaming. The drawer added a lot to its functionality. Now I can connect my laptops to the display monitor as my main display and put a mouse and key board on the desk keeping a more minimalist look, whilst tucking the Laptop in the drawer and closing it. I was glad to see the vent holes in the drawers bottom, allowing for colder air to circulate, helping keep the laptop cooler.I will buy this item again for my other desk modifications.Highly recommend! The product is definitely good, it seems well built, and the drawer operation is buttery smooth. Definitely a good purchase.However, the provided screws are tiny, and feel very unsafe. I complemented them with another two pairs of long, heavy-duty screws and I now feel more confident (8 screws in total) I won't hear a loud bang in the middle of the night.
