Some good recipes
Quite a few good recipes, some even outstanding.Others not to my personal taste, but then I am from the northern Caribbean, where the food is not as highly seasoned as that of Trinidad and Tobago or Guyana. (No Indo in this region, so milder curries...less coconut milk etc.) Some recipes do require too much coconut milk, cumin, etc. (full cup coconut powder...overkill!)Book is pricey, in my opinion. Good quality but neither big nor hardback. Pictures reasonably good, do enhance recipes. Price a bit steep but not outrageous.

Really Nice Starter Cookbook
A cookbook for the West Indian child who's away from home and dying to taste something familiar again. A cookbook for the young Caribbean couple who wants to brighten up the holidays for the family and impress their friends. A cookbook for the mother or father who would like to involve their children in the festival's traditional food this season and looking for an easy recipe to get them involved.I loved that these recipes were so easy to go through. It really is for the person who has been eating Caribbean food all their life but would like to start cooking it. This book has all the meals you may buy on a regular so it's perfect. You know these recipes! You can do it!
