Surco Boss 20mm Carrom Board with Coins, Striker, and Powder, Black, 1-4 Players, Ages 13 and Up

The board arrived in 2 days in perfect condition, played a couple of hands since then and no complaints there. The packaging was also great, would not have been easy to get damaged in transit. The accessories are not of very high quality, specially the coins look pretty worn out. I would still say it's a five star product since the board is in perfect condition and a pleasure to play on.

Carrom was good for first couple of months. Then the surface in one part became rough (thats kind of manageable). But last week i see wood on the border is coming out. It looks like it was not a single piece. That part is completely damaged, hit the striker there and striker wont come back. I have not moved the carrom from the place where i installed it. This is to ensure that there was not accidental damage while moving. Called Gandhi appliances and response i got is - we dont give any support for carrom board . I will have to buy another carrom but from a reliable vendor. Would not recommend anyone to get Carrom board from Gandhi appliances.

I was bit skeptical of buying a carrom board in US Recently on my trip to India, this exact model cost around $85 after conversion with $200 in shipping cost. I took a chance and ordered it through Amazon. The guys at Amazon packed it really well and equally great job by USPS to deliver this right at my doorstep. This thing is heavy. So if you have backache, you might help with unboxing. We have been playing every weekend since its delivery and its great family game. The wooden chips and striker are decent. I am very happy with the purchase.

The board looks good, probably needs lot more usage before it is fully up to match board quality. The biggest disappointment as when it came to coins. The coins were poor quality. I had used better coins with cheaper boards. I expected top quality well rounded "match worthy" coins. I ended up asking a friend of mine to bring coins from India. The striker was also of poor quality. I separately ordered Ivory striker. One would expect good quality coins and striker, when one pays top dollars.

PROS: Build quality is solid. Ply is super thick. Carrom board surface is working fine even in the first month. We expect it to be smoother after initial burn-in period. There is certain roughness with which coins experience higher friction but it is expected. We will append the review after a quarter to let you know how it is behaving after use. 15 gms striker is working out fine. CONS: Back side of the carrom board is not finished, not pained and it looks ugly when we 'park' the carrom board against the wall after playing. IT looks like an ugly piece of furniture in our otherwise good looking family room. This does not bode well with "Export Quality Unit" I still remember, the carrom board that my father bought 35 years ago was well finished in the back side. Coin set is not champion quality. Black coins are smaller than white and this is creating quite a challenge to adjust your striker speed while playing black, The coins in general seem to be very light.

This board is built like a truck it will last forever, quality is fantastic and looks great.

the carrom board had cheap finishing.frame was really look awful.but playing surface is smooth.had broken plywood pockets.drawings on the playing surface look done by a baby. chiped edged on the frame. anyway they refund the money and i had to pay for the return shipping fee which is 60 dollars .and they refund only the carrom boards price lost 90 dollars .

worst purchase ever in Aamazon, i thought i was scammed be coins are not even moving from one place to anonther and reced. in broken condition , very sad
