Oat flour is one of my favorite specialty flours for use in baking muffins and the like, and I had always previously been able to find all the oat flour I needed in local grocery stores, until 2020 struck and the supply became inconsistent. So, I turned to Amazon. I had never heard of Yupik products before, but I ordered a bag because the price was reasonable enough. What I got was fresh, high quality oat flour just like I was looking for. I would certainly come back to this brand again.

It's not bad, but as others have stated it has a prominent grassy smell that carried through into the taste in baked goods. I made a pancake with it without mixing it with any other flours like I normally would just to find out if the grassy smell affected the taste as well; the pancake wasn't actually bad tasting--but the flavor was undeniably grassy and unusual. I ate the whole pancake, I didn't throw it out; again, it wasn't actually bad. But I wouldn't ever buy this flour again on purpose.I'm not sure what to do with the rest of it since I don't particularly want grass and berry muffins. it'll probably get shoved to the back of the cabinet for "just in case" and eventually get tossed.I initially transferred it to another container thinking maybe the smell was in the bag, but it wasn't, and it wasn't until after I had thrown away the original bag that I noticed the flour is returnable. I'm guessing not in a ziplock though. A waste of $15. :(

I have been exploring various types of flours for making gluten-free organic waffles, bread, pizza and cookies for my children. This flour is hands down THE BEST! it has a wonderful, clean oat aroma, and its find grind makes the dough made out of it sticky enough to make EXTRAORDINARY waffles, bread and cookies!!! I highly recommend this as the most non-contaminated, delicious and healthy flour for organic gluten-free backing and cooking! By contrast, rice flour and corn four so frequently used for gluten free cooking are heavily contaminated with arsenic and glyphosate.

I can't eat any flour but oat flour and this one is perfect. Really reasonably priced for the amount you get. Also the oats are ground to a very very fine powder. If you know what you can and can't bake with oat flour then you'll be very satisfied with this one.

I use this to make oat waffles and it is perfect. It is finely ground making it easy to mix. So much more nutritious than wheat flour.
