Beautiful and SHARP
This knife is an absolute work of art. Sharp as a scalpel and feels great in hand. Weighted correctly for optimal use.

Careful for snapped blade
I own multiple Dalstrong knives and have had this one for a while. Not one of my more frequently used knives but last use, the blade literally split in half. Anyone else run into an issue like this with this particular knife?

Great Knife for the Cost
The knife came quickly. I really like the magnetic sheath that comes with it. The knife is lightweight and cuts well. Factory sharpness is pretty good. My only complaint, which I expected, is the handle is a little awkward to work with. My wife isn't a huge fan, so I expect I will be the primary user of the knife. At the price point, however, the knife is a great deal! 4.5 stars would be my ideal review.

So Supreme
I've had this knife for a six months now, and I have to say that it is the best knife that I have owned. I'm a fine furniture maker and have a lot of experience with different tempered steels and their characteristics of edge retention and such, and this knife stands up there with the best tools that sit above my workbench. My biggest worry was the fact that the handle looked so geometric, but is fits so nicely in the hand. I'm writing this review because I am sharpening the knife for only the second time. The steel that this knife is made of is able to be sharpened at a shallow angle and retain it's edge for months. I have not had any issues with oxidation on the blade. The way that the handle wanes into the blade fits my finger just right. I can't really say enough good things about this knife. The only thing that I wasn't too fond of at first was the sound that the knife makes. As a metal handled knife, any bum makes the whole knife ring out like a chime. After a couple weeks of use that sound now rings as "Excalibur" in my ears. All of my previous chef knives were 8" blades, and I wondered how much of a difference the extra half inch would make, but I don't notice it. The sweep of the Kiritsuke means that slicing and chopping motions are as smooth as the motion of the ocean, but I can also choke up on the blade and pare with ease. I would buy the full lineup of these from Dalstrong, but honestly don't see a need, this knife can do it all with ease and enjoyment of use. I wish I got as much enjoyment out of everything I bought online as I get with this knife.rant over, mic drop.

Love Dalstrong Products
One solid piece, easy to handle, easy to clean and stores well with the magnetic sheath. I have many Dalstrong knives in several different series. I also have the sharpening stone set as well as the Nomad knife roll. I don’t have any complaints about any of their products.

Better ergonomics than I thought
As a chef with a budget, I chose this as a new boning knife to use to break down meats.Looking at it, I thought the handle was a terrible idea, uncomfortable, stuff could get built up in it, etc. After taking it for a test run, it's much more comfortable than I anticipated, and on that side I'm happy with the purchase. The down part though, the knife came with a blunted tip. I don't know if this is an intentional design or a manufacturer issue, but it is a downside that can be fixed with a grinding stone. The metal that's used in this knife I have noticed is somewhat prone to rusting as well.Overall, if you want a decent first boning knife this one is a good match. On the plus side it has a magnetic wooden sleeve for protection.

So far so good
This thing came extremely sharp right out of the box. I use it to trim briskets and cut steaks from roasts, so it's not an everyday kind of knife.Wash it by hand and dry well as soon as you're done using it. No dishwasher or leaving it in the sink.

Now I know why the Kiritsuke and Nakiri are on offer.
I fought I would try this while on offer wish I didn’t now, first thing I noticed out of the box it’s bent to the right, great one. Also not very sharp out of the box.I’m hoping being sold buy Amazon that it’s not a fake dalstrong or seconds, I will be sending back. No stars. Also the Nakiri was bent to the right side and not sharpened correctly, the blade next to handle is not straight it’s rounded off and sharpened to high. Very disappointing from Dalstrong.

The real deal!
You buy a knife set for £40-£50, you get it home and think the first time you use it 'wow, they're sharp, must be good' then you buy a set of Dalstrong knives, you appreciate the way they're presented in their box but it's not until you use them for the first time that you suddenly realise and say to yourself "Holy crap", put the knife down and go and investigate on YouTube how to use a knife properly for fear of losing a finger (You probably wouldn't even feel it) and suddenly understand what a real knife is, they really are that good. Trust me when I say these knives are the real thing and if looked after will probably last you the rest of your life, do yourself a favour, press buy it now, you won't be sorry!

Ok but Global are much nicer
Bought this to use on picnics/barbecues because of the sheath. It’s an ok knife but feels distinctly second rate in comparison with the Global knives we have in the kitchen. It’s not so cheap that it can be written off as a cheap knife. I would advise anyone contemplating buying one to spend a bit more to get the Global. The design of this already looks dated.

Knife is flawless, shame about the sheath
Would have been 5 stars if the wooden sheath not had far too many dings and dents in it, not sure how that passed QC.The knife is a beautiful German steel I've used before and passed the 'paper test' with flying colours!

Brilliant knife
Using this knife now daily for a couple months in work and it keeps its sharpness and even the. A quick once over a steel and it’s as good as new againDefinitely worth its money I’ve bought more expensive knife and they dull a hell of a lot quicker than this little beauty. On the handle I was a bit off but it’s actually really comfortable to hold
