Colmans Classic Mint Sauce (3 Pack) 165 grams Per Jar

I adore the flavor of this delicious, somewhat tart, sauce. I use it on a lot more than just lamb, which is all my mom used it for when I was a kid. For example, I like it mixed with cottage cheese; spread on some sandwiches (e.g., tuna, grilled cheese); mixed with yogurt as a dip for veggies, etc. Use your imagination and enjoy! (My only complaint: Why can't I get it in a larger bottle, so I don't have to buy three at a time?)

I am one of those people who like mint sauce on way more than lamb. I happen to think that it improves the taste of any type of meat.But this does mean that I tend to eat a fair amount of mint sauce. And, of the mint sauces on offer I prefer the taste of the Colmans offering. It isn't cheap, especially in the US via Amazon. But it does beat the alternatives.

The sauce is great, exactly what I was looking for. However one jar arrived broken. The jars were wrapped in bubblewrap, but the bundle was loose in the box. It looks like the box was dropped on one corner and the weight of two jars completely smashed the third jar. More bubble wrap or packaging might have prevented that. The item is not returnable or replaceable, so I've got two jars for the price of three.

I have been using mint sauce for most of my grilled, or roasted lamb dishes for all my life (70+ years). The refreshing mint and tangy vinegar really balance the fattiness of lamb. This sauce is much better than other sweet mint jellies which do not balance the lamb, but add a cloying sweet sensation on top of lamb fat, whereas this sauce balances the flavor and adds some sharpness to it, accentuating and taking the meat to a different lever. YUM.If you like lamb, give this sauce a try. You can also have Colman's mustard if you want a kick, but I usually reserve the mustard for my beef.

Really good. Could use more vinegar to lessen the sweetness.

When ordering this product I was expecting a fresh mint flavored mint sauce. This has an odd taste for my liking I wanted it for adding some mint flavor to my lamb chops. All three bottles went to the waste disposal. I realize that taste is subjective and possibly a lot of people would love it. Just wasn’t for me.

This is a great product for your lamb dishes. Far superior to a mint jelly. Comparable to a chimichurry(sp)

Coleman's mint sauce is fabulous. We love it with lamb and other dishes. This particular order, as shown in the photo, smelled strongly of mint sauce upon opening the packaging. Notably, the jar on the right had a dent innthe circular lid and the safety tab had come loose. The mint sauce had gotten onnthe other jars, but they remained unopened. However, if this happens to you, go straight to Amazon on a call. The return/refund option for this product will simply run you in circles. Not sure if the one jar was opened prior to packing or was struck just right during transit to knock the lid loose, but we are working on a replacement. This was our first bad experience with this product order as we've ordered it several times before with no problem.
