Updated!!!Will update but first impression garbage
Update: they replaced the book. It took maybe 3 days to get the new book and they let me keep the first book until my new book came in. It was such a quick and easy process that I forgot it even happened. Great self study book please buyJust got it today. The pages aren’t glued in properly? It’s like they used postit note glue because everytime you turn the page it comes out of the book

Useful but poorly put together and unsupported
The book is great for the content and much of the quality. However, there is not enough support from the website. None of the publishers or authors are available to fix the fact that instructors cannot access the instructor materials. Also, the PowerPoint Lecture Slides are outdated for this new edition. The lack of support around this is atrocious.

Part of a series; language presented in short bursts
I have read a lot of grammar books on a lot of languages and this is one of the better ones. The grammar of Korean, so different from European languages, is presented in little chunks along with short bursts of dialogue. Not very fun to read - I prefer little folk tales for greater interest - but you can absorb the language slowly this way. Example: no pronouns and no verb endings to help, you simple repeat the person's name over and over! Some of the reading is in large enought print but a lot is in tiny print, tough when you are dealing with a very different alphabet. Interestingly, unlike alphabets of languages whose speakers insist it is logical, the hangul (alphabet) actually is logical and straight forward, having been invented in 1440 by a king working with linguists. Other than alphabets invented by missionaries and the like, Korean may be the only such alphabet - maybe Cherokee, Vai and a few others?

It’s Okay but…
I think that it’s a great textbook, but for self learners it’s not as efficient, or can’t really be used to it’s full potential. A lot of the exercises in my opinion require explanations and are hard to understand at first. If using this with a teacher or a tutor who knows the content, use it, it’s great. However, self learners should invest in other textbooks. I suggest “비타민 한국어” (Vitamin Korean).

Book binding like memo pad?
Hmmn I would say the book’s content is five stars however, the binding of the book came apart. I would say if the pages start falling out you could easily hit glue gun it back to the binding. I also would like to acknowledge that the binding is like post it notes or memo pads, so it easily tears. So I suggest being gentle with the book. I noticed others had a problem with the book binding so this has to be a problem in all the recently printed books. Hopefully this gets fixed soon~

Pricey but good books
Great book series. Learning grammar and growing my Korean skills. The text book is best used with the workbook but buying both is hella expensive.

Great condition!
The book came on time and in perfect condition. I got this for school alongside the workbook .They have all the pages and are clearly new. If you need this for school as well , you're at the right place.

Good book
I really like it! The answer key does cost 10 dollars online though, but my friend shared hers with me. I'm doing fine without the answer key.

Does NOT come with answer key
KLear is so greedy, you have to pay 10$ on their website to get the answer key for their books. Who does that?!?!?!
