I have my stand on a deep pile carpet and it’s very stable not sure this would be the same on a wood floor.

Yeah, generally speaking, that shouldn't be an issue. But if you have the item raised to it's top height setting and the TV is on uneven flooring, then it might be top heavy and lean a bit too much.
