This is a good book,especially the topics are well selected. The only thing wrong with this book ,are the answers for the MCQ's at the back,where you find many mistakes. Needs editing. Other than that no complaints. I strongly recommend for each and everyone appearing for the FRCS exam.

I cannot emphasise strongly enough how much you should not buy this book. What a waste of money. The answers to the multi choice are totally wrong. The only good thing about it is that you know the answer is wrong and so you reinforce your learning that way! What a shame that someone couldn't be bothered to check the answers were correct. For example, question 66: everyone (staff and patients) on a ward have d and v. What's the cause? Choice of Norovirus, MRSA, C diff and E. coli. They say the answer is MRSA. I could go on, but you get the idea.I would give this a zero star but Amazon are forcing me to put ⭐️

Following on from what others have said, I bought this book because of the scarcity of FRCS revision material. With a week to go before the part one, I have just spent a very frustrating evening going through the MCQ's - too many are blatantly wrong eg. Everyone in a surgical unit (patient and staff) has D and V. What is the cause? Answer: MRSA?!?!? Please do not spend money on this book, the exam is expensive and stressful enough without this rubbish.

In general a good concept; however, as observed by a previous reviewer, it just seems to be a compilation of the author's own personal study notes!Lots of topics left unfinished - an unpardonable lapse on part of the author as well as the publisher!
