Great Track Set
This LEGO track set is great. LEGO train sets always lack in straight tracks. We like to spread our tracks across a large area and make fun pathways between random objects throughout the house. Yes, my wife complains about it, but she enjoys watching the kids get into it. The Flexible Track is great for joggles and weird turns that couldn't normally work with the Curved Tracks. This track does not make a complete circle. The Flexible Track can make a quarter circle. So 4 sets would have to be purchased to make a complete circle. One of the best features of the Flexible Track is that it can be adjusted while the train is moving. Being able to change the layout and tweak little issues with the track without disconnecting parts is great. I am pleased with this purchase and recommend it.

Great for Getting Creative
When you're dealing with wooden (Thomas-style) tracks, there are many different types of track pieces. There are different lengths, curves, splits, crossings, slopes and accessories pieces (M-M, F-F, etc), and the tolerances are low so you can put together a workable railway pretty easily. With Lego track, there are only straight sections, curve sections, R splits and L splits. The tolerances are tight, so if you try to force the track into an unforgiving geometry, the sections will pop apart. The more creative you try to be, the harder it is to make your railway work. That's what these guys are for, to add enough "slop" to the tolerance so you can get creative with your tracks. - If you're building a basic circle or oval, you won't need them. - There's not enough of these to build a whole railway, there are just enough to make Lego railroading a lot easier. - The engine from the Lone Ranger Train Chase (79111) has some problems with these due to the large fixed wheels. - Tenders and small rail cars work fine. - Larger trains with wheels pivoting on bogie plates (4x6 with 5mm pin) work fine.

If you need them, they're perfect
Pricey for what it is but easy to assemble, fit perfectly, and will durable to hold up to extended use. Arrived quickly and was available when local stores did not have it.

Great add-on for the Lego City Trains
If you want some additional track for your Lego City Train, this set is great. We have the Lego City Cargo Train and wanted to expand the track. The flexible track is nice and allows our kids to morph/snake the track around a bit while also creating a semi-circle between switches.

Good when used right.
Like everyone says, the flex track moves a lot - way to much to be used by connecting a bunch of them together. It's easy to work around that by putting one piece between regular solid track pieces. Seems like they are designed to be used that way.

Yes! It does work with other wheel bases! See pictures!
I absolutely love the LEGO City Flexible Tracks Set. It was a sad day when the kids began to outgrow our Duplo train set. The mere thought of buying the expensive Lego Train Set was a bit too much for me right now. I opted to buy these tracks and hope for the best that some of our many wheel bases would fit the track! Viola! Some bricks, some wheels, some imagination and Houston, we have a train! I am really pleased with this addition to our Lego collection!

Great LEGO track... expensive
These are LEGO, which means they are great and durable. Having said that, they aren’t cheap and they honestly don’t provide a ton of additional track when it comes to expanding your train path. The straight pieces tend to be like gold, while the curves are so so, and the connectable pieces provide additional flexibility in tight spaces. Overall, if you’re wanting to expand your LEGO train track, these are really the only way to go other than buying more LEGO trains and using the track from those sets. Don’t be disappointed when you open the box and realize you can’t do much more with your track. You’ve been warned. :) Good quality, great brand, expensive. Happy bricking.

Bought for my 8 years old in addition to his train set. The tracks are good how they can negotiate bends however you don't get much additional distance of track. Easy to put together but only buying one additional track set with the original track doesn't give you many options. Would need to buy further sets to give better track variations and may be better looking at set's without flexible tracks as I would assume you will get more for your money.
