I originally tried some mounts that were supposed to be good up to 10 lbs, but they didn't have enough joint strength to hold my speakers at the angle I wanted... These fix that and more. They're not the prettiest things to look at - definitely built for function over form, but they do the job just fine. Three things to note: 1) They don't come with any screws or bolts to attach them to your wall/roof or your speakers. Not a big deal, but it did mean another trip to Lowes that I wasn't expecting. 2) The adjustable "knee" joint is tightened by a small wingnut. I found I couldn't tighten it as much as I would have liked with my fingers, so I used a pair of pliers to get a little more purchase on it. Once tightened adequately, it's rock solid. 3) As delivered, the mounting plates are a little too loosely attached for my liking.
