Got this to replace the 4 inch and 6 inch targets Amazon ships in their 4 steel target set. Totally worth it for higher calibers given the thickness and accuracy shooting for handguns.

This is my second order from Rancher Supply, AR500 plates work great. Had a shipping issue with my second order. Rancher Supply corrected the issue promptly. Will be ordering more plates in the future.

Used this for the past year and have shot it with .22, 9mm, .45, and .223. This has absolutely taken a beating and continues to be the best value for an AR500 target I have purchased to date. Would recommend if you are looking for a great price and something that will hold up to multiple range days and calibers.

I'm working my way up trough different calibers. So far, I have hit it with 7.62x39mm from an sks. They only made a slight, shallow indent the diameter of the bullet's point.I got the 3/8" thick plate which is described as being good for 30-06. Since I only shoot that with M2 ball, I'm not worried.The bullets blast off a ring of point letting the impact points clearly visible. When done shooting, just hit it with another coat of spray paint and it's good as new.I'm curious if it will stand up to good European military grade 7.92×57mm ammo (8mm)?! Some of my surplus has steel cores. Not truly armor piercing, just designed for targets like car and truck bodies. We'll see what the M2 ball does to it first.

I shoot a lot of steel for my type of shooting. I designate this plate for my magnum revolvers in 357 Magnum, 44 Magnum, 454 Casull, 460 Magnum and 500 Magnum. I have been shooting steel for 9 years, since 2011. I have my own backyard range, as well as belong to a shooting club. Steel is my target of choice.I use the center hole for mounting since it is usually the most secure and stable hole for steel. I don’t typically use the side ears as they lead to a lot of instability and swaying. I also like the safety of the targets angling downwards to allow ricochets to hit the ground, rather than send shrapnel back at me.Our club requires a 25 yard minimum for handgun targets but I don’t shoot large caliber magnums at anything less than 50 yards and out.These are durable and take the beating by a 4x caliber and larger magnum. I typically alternate sides to prolong the durability over time.The price is reasonable and the different plate sizes accommodate for my shooting.Definitely works for me. Highly recommend.

I’ve had 3 of these, all have held up over the years, I did break the ears off of one from it being hit with larger caliber rifles but that’s the worst of it.This last time I tried ordering tho it kept telling me it was delivered but was never delivered, happened twice, idk what that’s about so bummed I couldn’t re order and ended up with a cheaper option here on Amazon.Otherwise happy with my previous purchases.Target is durable, good quality, functions great for my range days and size of it is decent.

We smack this gong with 40s&w and 45-70 Gov. regularly with no deflection. Even got the 5th star on the sticker provided.

Bought the 1/2 inch and don't worry about using my rifles on it at 100+ yards.
