7/16-24 Tap And Die Set, UNS Machine Thread Tap and Round Thread Die Right Hand

After misplacing a hard to find flywheel bolt, this became our only option. It arrived quickly and worked well. We didn’t have high expectations from Amazon, but it only needed to work once. It definitely worked and still has life left in it!

I used this tap and die to repair a plumbing fixture out of my 1966 Silver Streak trailer. The stem under the faucet broke off in a brass adapter, so I drilled out the adapter and chased the threads with the tap. Then I used the die to create new threads on the stem that was a little shorter but was still long enough to work. All this Because the brass $5 adapter was not made any more. Looked everywhere and then looked again. So I bought the tap and die for a one time use. I gave it 4 stars because it worked for me. Don't know about any other metals. The reason I bought this one was it was a set and it cost the least.

I needed both tap and die to chase threads. These get the job done nicely. Good quality, nice and sharp like they should be. Good value compared to name-brand alternatives.

Bought these tools to rethread the wheel Cylinder and brake line on my 71 F600. Both worked great.
