Found these to be very well made knobs. Used them on a PA amp and they work great.

These are high-quality knobs for the money at first I thought the only ggot 9 and I needed 1more so the I gave was poor.review but when I installed my new chair today I found the 10th knob wedged in the back of my old chair so I did get 10 knobs after all My Bad the do look good on my Effect box and are much easer to read , So My Bad for not noticing the 10 feel old chair . So not my review is excellent Sorry for any confusion Best Regards

Get what you pay for. Quality control might be lacking here a bit for the "painting" The white I see on my knob is very "weak" and not as clean as the images or the images that other reviewers show. You know how you have multiple coats when you paint your wall? It looks like they put one very light coat on. Making the black come through the white, so the white line looks grayer instead of white. Not the end of the world but harder to see if you are in dark light. See the picture compared to one of those cheap plastic rotary knobs. ( note all my 10 knobs have this very weak white line) Also, small gripe- but for my rotary knobs I have, The hex screw sits too low on the shaft, so it does not grab the ledge it is supposed to screw against. This might not be the case for all rotary encoders. you just have to have the knob sit higher on the rotary encoder making a less secure fit.

Beautifully polished and a bargain price. Arrived super quick. Somewhat excessive packaging but a small inconvenience if any.

First, it is important to know that I bought the knobs for torchier lamps that lost their knobs. That said, the the screws worked perfectly, and the set screw anchored the knob to the lamps' turn mechanism firmly. My only observation is to be aware that, just as the knobs' measurements are metric, so is the set screw used to firmly the knobs. Not a problem if you order the set with the tightening hex wrench, but important if you only have SAE hex wrenches, and are planning on ordering the knobs without the tool.

I needed some knobs. I liked that these had brass inserts, but I failed to pay attention to the matter of the set screws. What you get is black (hard to see) screws with a tiny hex socket (hard to fix an Allen key for). Compared with other knobs I've got with a similar profile. but with a good brass set-screw with flathead slot, these are not so good. The plastic around the screw-hole seemed a little rough, as well. I was limited to one of those right-angled Allen keys, which was difficult to use for these knobs: one quarter-turn, bank against the panel, disengage and reposition, repeat until done. It would be better with a screwdriver-like tool. They do the job, they're inexpensive, but I wish they were just a little better. Oh, and the provided product descriptiion says 'horsepower: 1hp'. I think mine might be underpowered :-)
