Drumheads are releasable, reusable, super tacky sound control pads for drums and cymbals. Conveniently apply the adhesive side to drums or cymbals for desired result. Used as directed, they will not flap, buzz, fly off or harm any percussive surface including: bottom heads, vertical heads, underneath cymbals, inside bells and blocks … even under heavy pounding and in extreme temperatures. Drumtacs can be taken off and reapplied to another drum or cymbal, and will not leave behind any sticky residue. Pack of 4.

NOT reusable
These work wonderfully as presented by Thomas Lang in his drum kit tour video from youtube. But they are NOT reusable. So you only get to apply them once. If you graze them during playing or if they get ripped off during transport / packing / unpacking, if they are removed for any reason, then they are no longer usable. This means that if you want to place them on your drum head, then you had better place them correctly the first time. With that said, the effect of using them makes a huge difference, immediately. They are far superior to the moongel/tape/dampener mechanism alternatives. I'd say for what they are as raw materials and how many you get in a pack, they are definitely overpriced.

100% effective and incredibly versatile!
Drumtacs have quickly become one of my favorite products in the drumming industry. I have been playing kit and percussion for 18 years. I do so in a national touring project, playing multiple genres of music. And I have used all sorts of dampening products and techniques. After using Drumtacs for a little over 6 months, I am convinced that there is no comparison to anything else on the market. Never have I felt so in control of over-ring, sustain, and other harsh frequencies. The level of tone management and range of use seems limitless. I personally have applied them, with significant result, to acoustic heads(both batter and resonant), djembe, cymbals, and have even used them on mesh heads to reduce trigger sensitivity issues with a hybrid setup. I carry them with me everywhere and love finding new ways of applying their capabilities. I plan on experimenting with bells and blocks next, but expect to see the same trend continue. The ability to re-use them so often, without loss of quality, is alone worth the price. I was only able to find them in select locations. So it was great to see them available on Amazon! If you have any reservations - just read a few of the reviews. Every drummer and sound engineer that I talk to about them is in solid agreement about their effectiveness. You won't regret introducing them into your current set-up.It's refreshing to know that you can have such a high degree of tonal restraint with one product. Especially in a concert venue or recording atmosphere, with an array of live mics. I can easily see why I am catching glimpses of Drumtacs all over professional stages on a regular basis. I am convinced that the more they are tried within the industry - the more they will become a new standard, both on the road and in the studio. I love putting my weight behind an exceptional product or service, and Drumtacs are proving to be very worthy of their new-found fame.

They work!!
If you need to kill a ring in the drum or just looking for some dampening, this product works great. No stick dust collecting on the top or if you are worrying about them coming off. The adhesive is top notch with the ability to take off after a long stay on the drum, they adhere back on the drum without an issue. If you need more it comes four to a package or less in the terms of dampening you can cut them in half and save the rest for a later time. Great Product!!

Get The Best
I have used Moongels and several other similar products. Drumtacks work the best. They effectively dampen overtones like all the other products do. They stick very well but without damaging the head when removed. They don't get "gooey" like moongels and they have adhesive on only one side so they stay clean and won't stick to drum bags or cases. Well worth the extra money.

I'll stick with moongel's
Works well on Floor Toms and Cow Bells and Cymbals. Way too much dampening on Snares and smaller toms 10's or 12's (IMO). Brand New they're great. My Major Gripe is they claim they're "reusable"...yeah, to a point...even after using isopropyl alcohol and letting it dry completely...never as good as new out of box. 2 flew off of my 10" and 12" toms in the first song of a 3 hour show... I'll keep them on my floor toms, but if dampening is needed on snare or rack toms per request of a sound engineer....I'll stick with moongel's. On a positive note, they do work quite well on cymbals to cut down ping for a small room and really work well on LP black beauty cowbell and mambo bell to cut out all the highs. Brand New they seem to work better on lesser quality drum kits, but on high end equipment, skip the muffling and let them sing.

Good addition to any drum set!
These drum tacs really made my drums sound tight. The more drum tacs you put, the sharper the hit. Very inexpensive compared to buying different heads for different sounds. Also it sticks to the drums real good, you don't have to keep taking it off or mess with the paper dampers. When it gets dirty just use dishwashing liquid or soap and water. It still keeps its stickyness.

Best Dampeners in the market
SO much better than those oogy boogy gross moon gels that are sticky and leave stains on my drum heads and attract dust and just become gross after a while.Drum tacs look super clean on the drum heads, don't leave residue marks, work just as well if not BETTER than moon gels. Drum tacs are easily transferable and reusable. They say you are supposed to use rubbing alcohol or something when you remove the drum tac to activate the adhesive but I just pull it off one drum head and put it on another with no trouble and it sticks really well. Such a better solution to anything else that's on the market. The cool thing about these is that you can use them on drumheads AND cymbals. You can place a DT at the bottom of the cymbal - the closer to the edge the more it dampens it and takes away the wash and overtones of the cymbal. I use it on my 19'' crash to make it work as a ride cymbal sometimes, I just put a drum tac about 4 inches from the edge of the cymbal and it really dries it out nicely and converts it to ride/crash. It's pretty sweet.I wouldn't be surprised once these become the standard for drum dampeners. All the top drummers are already starting to use them. I might be wrong on this but I believe they might cost a little more than moon gels but trust me they are totally worth the price and you will be very happy with them :)
