Nice 70s b rated scifi movie.
I love this b rated 70s scifi movie. I hadn't seen it in a long time so when seen Amazon had a copy I had to buy it. I've watched it 5 times, just love it.

That's all I could stand. I'll watch bad movies for the sake of seeing just how bad they can be. But this one is absolutely dreadful. The writing is horrible. The film quality poor. And the acting, by comparison, makes Ben Affleck seem like he has range. If high-school AV projects are your thing, then this one has all you'd ever want.

Come on!! Its not that bad....ok, yeah it is, but....
People need to stop being so serious about this movie and simply enjoy it for what it really is....a really funny sci-fi film. The cheesiness was just spectacular, I actually found myself laughing uncontrollably in certain scenes where the level of ridiculousness was just completely out there. I especially love the reporters, where they get told that everything is perfectly fine, immediately the reporters run back to there communication phone things and report that the earth is going to be destroyed and that they're all going to die. Just classic. There is no doubt that this movie borrows heavily from other sci-fi greats, but in retrospect one wonders if they didn't also have inspiration from Monty Python. The director tried to create something serious and ended up with a sci-fi comedy by accident. All you "critics" need to lower your shields and just enjoy the pure silliness.

Not the Worst of the Spaghetti Starfighters
This is Cosmo 2000 by Alfonso Brescia, first of 5 late 70s Sci-Fi movies made under the name Al Bradley. If you are familiar with Brescia's infamous "attempts", you know that these are blatently terrible pictures under normal health conditions. However, with some creative medicating, they can be quite enjoyable. While the market for these films was ignited by Star Wars, this film is Brescia's paraphrase remake of 2001, complete with robots and computers going mad. The picture quality gets this an extra star, as the murky VHS transfer adds a texture to the picture that would be missing from a re-mastered addition. Much more watchable than Metallica, Alfonso Brescia's Star Wars remake, as it also has an eerieness that precludes Alien, which came out later.

Droll Si-Fi
Boring movie with droll plot. Actresses act like twits. Sorry I just didn't find it inspiring.

One of the best underated sci fi movies. Ever!!
Al Bradley is genius.. Yes, I believe this is one of the 20th centuries great unknown gems! How can a movie with such unbridled atmosphere and feeling fly under the radar for so long?? None the less, this is special and all of you out there who just don't get it, don't worry, you probably never will.. for these of us who do, check out War of the robots and Star Odyssey!! The later being an instant classic/masterpiece!! It's akin to an epic trilogy!! LMK if U get it.. [email protected].

Gag me with a spoon.....
Absolutely horrible. I can't believe they made this the same year as Star Wars came out. But what I really can't believe is that this was even released.
