Can’t go wrong.
Bought for real estate photography. Great experience with it, minimal distortion for how wide it gets, and if you’re SERIOUS about sharpness maybe for professional nature stuff like landscapes or scenery prints, may be worth the extra $1K to get the f/2.8 GM version. This one does feel a lot lighter, and seems to lack the same contrast and sharpness of the f/2.8 - but for what i use it for it’s great and no one would question it.Wish the lens hood was detachable, there are better lens hoods than the one this one comes adorned with built in, and better yet, I would love to put a filter or small matte box on instead in most cases.Flares and Glares can be an issue. I opt to attach a piece of gaff tape with cine foil atop the lens in those situations to shade the lens. Works fine.Overall, this one gets the job done for a much lower price and I highly recommend anything from the GM line, even the older models punch above their weight class and will fit right in with any professional’s kit.
